Genshin Impact Version 5.4 Phase 1 Character and Weapon Banners: Should you go for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne
In the world of Genshin Impact, the Version 5.4 Phase 1 banners will start on February 12th, 2025, and run until March 4th, 2025. During this period, you’ll encounter a brand new character alongside a popular 5-Star character in a joint banner.
Mizuki serves as an Anemo field driver, excelling particularly in creating whirlwind reactions and area-of-effect (AOE) damage. Her abilities primarily revolve around her unique state called “Dream Drifter,” which she enters by using her skill. In this state, Mizuki autonomously launches Anemo attacks and enhances the Swirl damage output of her team.

Instead of using Normal Attacks, Mizuki heavily depends on external supports that aren’t tied to Normal Attack triggers. This makes her one of the rare dedicated on-field Swirl drivers who offers a distinctive AFK (Away From Keyboard) playstyle that suits those who are away from their console. Her abilities excel in situations with multiple targets, allowing her to consistently generate Swirls and boost elemental interactions.
As a gamer, I’ve found that Mizuki isn’t quite as effective in one-on-one battles because Swirl doesn’t pack much of a punch in these situations. Still, she’s a reliable five-star character, offering impressive area-of-effect power and a user-friendly experience for reaction-based teams. Sucrose might be a bit more versatile, but Mizuki holds her ground as a solid choice.
Sigewinne is a Hydro healer specializing in healing, minor crowd control, and enhancing the power of her Elemental Skill attacks. Her unique ability, Rebound Hydrotherapy, launches a bouncing bubble that restores the health of nearby allies (excluding herself) while inflicting Hydro damage proportional to her maximum health.
Enlarging the bubble amplifies its both offensive and healing capabilities, slightly enhancing its damage output and temporarily locking down weaker adversaries. This character’s Elemental Burst, Super Saturated Syringing, unleashes an Area of Effect Hydro damage proportional to her Maximum Health, simultaneously gathering Sourcewater Droplets in proximity for Energy replenishment.

She has talents that passively improve her healing abilities and team coordination. One talent increases the damage of skills for allies not directly involved, while another scales her healing according to the ‘Bonds of Life’. A third passive provides urgent healing when submerged. However, her application with water (Hydro) is not strong, so she may not be the best choice for teams relying on reactions unless combined with another Hydro character.

Why you should go for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne in Genshin Impact Version 5.4
As a gamer, if you’re all about the thrill of reaction-based Area of Effect (AoE) gameplay and prefer a playstyle that doesn’t require constant attention, I’d highly recommend giving Mizuki a try. This Anemo driver shines brightest in situations with multiple targets, whipping up elements with her Swirl ability and boosting her team’s damage output. However, it’s important to note that when it comes to single-target scenarios, she may not perform as strongly as some other characters, such as Sucrose. Additionally, Mizuki can be a bit more limiting in terms of team composition compared to the versatile Sucrose.
Mizuki performs optimally in teams that utilize Taser, Aggravate, and Hyperbloom, but may face challenges when it comes to content emphasizing high single-target DPS. She’s a fantastic choice for casual players or those seeking a fresh Standard 5-star character with remarkable Area of Effect (AoE) abilities. Conversely, Sigewinne is a Hydro healer who offers team-wide durability, minor crowd control, and skill enhancements.
She’s an ideal choice for teams that heavily utilize Elemental abilities, yet her Hydro application leaves something to be desired, making her less suitable for fast-paced playstyles unless combined with another Hydro character. Sigewinne performs optimally in Mono Hydro teams and those centered around Furina, delivering consistent healing and harmonizing well with Bond of Life mechanics. However, she encounters stiff competition from Kokomi, who offers superior healing, a stronger Hydro application, and greater team versatility.
When it comes to making a selection, Sigewinne provides greater long-term value thanks to her robust healing abilities and harmonious partnership with Furina. This makes her an appealing choice for most players who seek stability and investment security. Conversely, if you’re drawn to swift action and enjoy the thrill of area-of-effect combat, Mizuki is a solid pick, more so because you can potentially acquire her without cost through the Standard 5-star Selector in due time. Ultimately, the decision hinges on your preferred playstyle and whether you value healing capabilities or reactive battle tactics more highly.
