At the Overwatch 2 Highlight event, lead narrative designer Jude Stacey offered fans a peek at character number 44, who goes by the alias ‘Aqua’. This individual hails from China and possesses control over water as a unique ability.

Stacey mentioned, “It seems you might be curious about who the Season 18 hero is.” She hinted, “Allow me to offer a glimpse into character number 44. Known as Aqua, this Chinese water manipulator boasts one of the most extraordinary skill sets we’ve ever conceived.

Stacey then added that players will learn more about Aqua later in 2025.

Aqua, a Chinese hero, possesses unique powers tied to water. He can shape-shift these abilities to control and modify the battlefield in creative ways. Keep an eye out for further information about Aqua before his debut in Season 18.
