It’ll Be a Laugh
On Monday, Jordan North alluded to a surprising cameo during the forthcoming season of Celebrity Big Brother.
The Radio DJ from Capital FM, aged 34, finished as runner-up in the 2020 season of “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here”. Now, he’s on the hunt for a task more local, presenting him with a fresh challenge.
He shared with The Sun, “I’ve enrolled for a TV program on ITV, but I can’t reveal the details just yet. Filming commences in April.
With genuine enthusiasm, I find myself quite thrilled, and the level of anticipation is high. Some may question my capabilities, yet when given the opportunity, I couldn’t help but respond with a hearty chuckle, assuring them it would be a fun-filled adventure.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Jordan hinted at an array of celebrities gracing the Big Brother cast this year, following the triumphant return of the revamped all-star edition last spring. However, he kept mum about specific names.
The television presenter, known for hosting the network’s well-liked morning program, has expressed his desire to participate in the second installment of ITV’s jungle series spin-off, “I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.

The disclosure occurred during the TV Choice Awards this past week, when the presenter, looking sharp, donned a tweed jacket and black pants.
At a splendid awards event, Nicola Coughlan won the award for Best Comedy Performance for her role in Big Mood, but lost out on the Best Drama Performance to Toby Jones due to his exceptional acting as Mr Bates in Mr Bates vs The Post Office.
After reports that Chris Hughes joined Celebrity Big Brother, Jordan made an announcement, having been approached by the program’s executives.
A popular figure from the reality television scene, aged 32, who gained prominence in the year 2017 through the series Love Island, has been announced as part of the illustrious cast for the upcoming season, reports The Sun.
Currently a renowned sportscaster on television, Chris is resolute on demonstrating that he has depth beyond his previous stint in reality TV, and he stands poised to deliver the excitement.
According to a source, producers believe Chris would make an excellent fit for the house. He’s known for being quite entertaining and was among the most beloved and recognizable reality show participants, boasting a significant fan base on social media.
Executives anticipate that he will attract his large, enthusiastic following to the program, as well as share captivating anecdotes with them.
‘He’s got loads of showbiz mates and has some famous ex girlfriends – he’ll be brilliant.’

Over a decade ago, no audience for Celebrity Big Brother’s premiere was as large as the one last year, with approximately 3.8 million viewers tuning in to watch it. This is evident from the seven-day consolidated viewer figures.
The reality series, led by AJ Odudu and Will Best, features well-known personalities moving into the renowned Big Brother house, where they participate in an intriguing exploration of human interaction, cut off from the wider world.
Celebrities, choosing simplicity over opulence, will participate in challenging assignments and nominations while being filmed at all times by cameras.
Leaving their lavish lifestyles behind, famous personalities will join the competition by facing difficult tasks and undergoing nominations, with cameras constantly recording their actions.
A source previously told The Sun: ‘Bosses have been thrilled with how CBB has performed.
They had been eagerly anticipating season two of the civilian show in the fall, and they’ve now included another season of Celebrity Big Brother in their plans as well.
The viewership for the live broadcast has consistently remained above one million throughout the entire series, making it particularly substantial for a nightly program airing at 9:00 PM.
Ratings for Big Brother reached an all-time low during its premiere in November, with the least number of viewers tuning in compared to any previous show.
825,000 viewers tuned into ITV for the long-awaited broadcast of the UK’s initial social experiment during its live debut.

The ratings represented less than half of last year’s simulcast launch.
However, there was some positive development since 25% of the viewers fell within the age group of 16-34 years old, which aligns well with ITV2’s programming from last year.
As a diehard fan, I can’t help but notice that, though the ratings for this year’s opener might be historically low, they’re surprisingly similar to those of last year’s overnight series average. It seems like we’ve got another rollercoaster ride ahead!
The initial episode garnered over 2.5 million viewers, which is significantly higher than our current numbers, but keep in mind it was simultaneously broadcast on ITV1 as well.
The 2024 opener was exclusive to ITV2 and ITVX and was not broadcast across ITV1.
Viewers who watched shows on ITVX after they aired or through catch-up services were not taken into account when calculating total viewership. Only those who tuned in live were counted.
