Kyle Sandilands’ Drastic Move: Leaving Sydney for Melbourne After Health Scare!
Shock jock Kyle Sandilands is set to move to Melbourne – part time.
53-year-old celebrity from the Kyle and Jackie O show, currently residing in a luxurious $13 million property in the upscale neighborhood of Vaucluse, Sydney, has shared his intentions to visit his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who is located further south.
At the Heard radio conference this week, I shared that my partner and I are seriously considering investing in a property in Australia’s second largest city, as we aim to deepen our focus and connection with Melbourne-centric content for our show.
Since they started operating in the southern capital city back in April 2024, the duo has found it challenging to gain acceptance among the locals.
Kyle appears to be deeply involved in the process of purchasing a home in Melbourne and seems to be spending more of his time there, according to Jackie’s statement at the age of 50.
Jackie also appeared to apologise for the pair’s trademark crude and explicit humour.
Well, regarding Melbourne, they listened in and were exposed to some extremely inappropriate matters that we ought not to have discussed,” she explained.
“I shudder at the thought of it, but there’s nothing much we can do about it now. We’ll need to trust those individuals to pay attention again and hopefully provide us with another opportunity.
I believe word-of-mouth might be the key to attracting them, though it may take some time, and that’s perfectly fine.
Jackie’s comments come after the notoriously outspoken pair launched a new slogan last month.

The adverts are found everywhere on buses across Melbourne, with the morning radio program taking a playful jab at the somewhat scandalous image they have built up.
Kyle and Jackie are well-known for discussing intimate topics such as personal relationships and sexual encounters, and they’ve provided guidance on recognizing establishments offering erotic massages during their lively show segments.
However, since the program debuted in Melbourne last year, the management of KIIS FM has been adjusting the show to better suit the tastes of the Melbourne audience.
In November, it was announced that Kyle would be reducing his trademark graphic sexual content.
Following Kyle’s announcement last week that he had an urgent need for emergency brain surgery due to a brain aneurysm, this event occurred.
The media veteran warned listeners ‘a life of cocaine abuse and partying are not the way to go’.
The top-rating KIIS FM host announced the news at the beginning of his breakfast show last Monday.
On Friday, Kyle’s medical team informed him that he has a brain aneurysm which necessitates prompt care, including brain surgery. He shared this information in his own words.
‘My doctor said if I didn’t get it checked, I would have died.’
He then cracked a joke about the show’s lower ratings in Melbourne.

He disclosed that his physician has forbidden him from using cocaine, engaging in sexual activity, self-pleasuring, lifting heavy weights, and experiencing undue stress.
Every time his wife, Tegan Kynaston (age 38), catches a glimpse of him since they received the unfortunate news, Kyle shared, she can’t help but break down in tears, as they welcomed their son Otto together in 2022.
On Tuesday last week, when the show resumed, it was mentioned that Kyle was not present, and Jackie O disclosed to her audience that he had experienced an accident involving vomit.
‘Apparently he’s, um, projectile… he’s vomited all over himself this morning,’ she said.
It is unclear who will fill in for Kyle during his time off-air for surgery.
