For the last seven days, Rihanna has been actively standing by her partner, A$AP Rocky (age 36), who is currently going through a felony assault court case. They have two sons together, RZA (2 years old) and Riot (1 year old).

On Thursday, it was her fourth time at the Los Angeles courtroom, where sources claim she’s tried to stay inconspicuous throughout the hearings.

Rapper A$AP (whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers) is currently facing charges for the alleged incident of shooting his ex-friend A$AP Relli, which occurred in 2021.

As a diehard fan, I can’t help but feel a mix of shock and disbelief as the New York-born rapper stands accused of two severe charges: assault with a semi-automatic firearm. Yet, in true defiance, he’s pleaded his innocence. The rhythm that moves me has taken an unexpected turn, but I stand by him, hoping for justice to prevail.

It is said that Rihanna was positioned next to Mayer’s mom and sister in the court’s main section during the trial, surrounded by multiple security personnel throughout the proceedings.

Ever since Rakim got nabbed at LAX back in April 2022, following our tropical escape to Barbados, I’ve been right by his side like a loyal shadow.

On November 6, 2021, it’s claimed that Mayers brandished a firearm toward his ex-friend in an argument. He then fired the weapon, causing the individual to sustain slight wounds.

At a previous court case, rapper A$AP Relli (whose real name is Terell Ephron) stated that Mayers pointed a gun at his abdomen and threatened to shoot him immediately, adding that he fired at least four bullets afterward.

It’s said that one bullet struck Ephron’s hand, and the next day, he reported this incident.

At the spot where the supposed shooting occurred, Ephron retrieved two empty 9mm bullet casings upon his return. Nevertheless, the police state that the firearm which Mayers is said to have discharged was not located.

Earlier this month, A$AP Rocky politely turned down a proposal for a plea bargain that would have led to a six-month imprisonment term, coupled with a seven-year suspended sentence and three years of supervised release.

Previously, Ephron and Mayers were friends and colleagues. They became friends during their teenage years when they attended high school together in New York.

They belonged to the A$AP collective, a team of young artists who collaborated on music and artwork. Known as A$AP Mob, an abbreviation for ‘Always Strive And Prosper,’ was founded in 2005, with Rocky becoming a member in 2007.

As Mayers’ fame expanded, Ephron noted that their friendship persisted. However, it started waning when the D.M.B. musician became less involved in business commitments.

During pre-trial conferences in November, Mayers’ legal team made an effort to avoid a trial by contending that footage of the rapper with a firearm, obtained through surveillance, shouldn’t be allowed as proof.

Prosecutors claim the video showed Mayers firing the weapon, which the rapper’s attorneys denied.

At a previous court case, Detective Frank Flores from the LAPD stated that the video evidence indicated the rapper holding a firearm. However, under questioning from the defense, he admitted no actual gun was ever found.
