Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan’s Heartwarming Reunion at TV Choice Awards!

On Monday, at the TV Choice Awards held at the Hilton Hotel in London, Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan delightfully reunited over a hearty breakfast setting.

The speaker, who was 50 years old, looked absolutely radiant in a vibrant crimson minidress while gracefully walking on the dazzling red carpet. There, she posed for some eye-catching photographs.

On that occasion, the DJ was accompanied by her ex-cohost from Big Breakfast, Johnny (age 58). A series of playful moments between them were recorded, indicating an even stronger bond than before, following their resolution of a two-decade-long disagreement.

During the ’90s, the main duo hosted The Big Breakfast program; however, their partnership ended when Denise and Johnny’s relationship deteriorated due to an argument about contracts, leading to Denise’s departure from the show in January of 1999.

Yet, even though they had been entangled in a 23-year pay disagreement, the duo reconciled during the Covid-19 pandemic and appeared together on Steph’s Packed Lunch for the first time in two decades in June 2023.

The pair is set to return to your screens shortly, as they hinted at resuming filming back in July.

At the high-profile event, Denise chose to wear a lace dress that showcased her legs and paired it with stylish animal-print heels. On the other hand, Johnny went with a traditional suit ensemble, complete with a bow-tie.

A light-hearted TV show focused on entertainment, which originally aired on Channel 4 in the UK between 1992 and 2002, and was revived again from 2021 to 2022.

Once again, the 2025 TV Choice Awards return, promising an evening filled with unforgettable entertainment that honors this year’s standout television programs and the talented individuals behind their success.

2021 sees the grand event making a comeback at The London Hilton on Park Lane, with comedian Jason Manford as the host.

The comedian, known for his stand-up acts and appearing on the nominated series Waterloo Road, shared his excitement about attending the TV Choice Awards for the first time: “I can’t wait to experience this awards ceremony for the very first time!

Knowing that one of my programs has been selected for a lineup featuring numerous outstanding performances and shows, adds an extra layer of excitement to the anticipation I already have for this event.

‘I know it’s going to be a great night.’

Instead of live television broadcast, the awards ceremony will not show, but the winners will be unveiled digitally through TV Choice’s online platform.

18 different award categories, open for voting by the general public via the official awards website, make up the TV Choice Awards.

The upcoming show will introduce several thrilling modifications, with a notable shift in the distribution method for individual awards being one of them.

The Best Soap Actor and Best Soap Actress accolades have been phased out, making way for the introduction of a single, inclusive Best Soap Performance award that recognizes outstanding performances from any character appearing regularly in soap operas.

Speaking as a devoted fan, it’s thrilling to see that both the Drama and Comedy categories are now unified under a single award each! This streamlining process is truly exciting for me, as it promises to highlight the best works across these genres with an even more focused approach.

This year’s show introduces the “Best Soap Newcomer” award, rounding off the collection of fresh accolades for actors and actresses.

Nicola Coughlan is the only actor nominated for another award, recognized for her performance in Best Drama category for Netflix’s Bridgerton and Best Comedy category for Channel 4’s Big Mood.

In a competition, she’ll face off against Michelle Keegan; Michelle is set to shine in her role on Sky Max’s series, Brassic.

Additionally, David Mitchell has been recognized for his performance in Ludwig, while Charlotte Ritchie has received praise for her stellar work in Ghosts.

Competing for the Best Dramatic Performance award, the actress, aged 38, finds herself up against Brenda Blethyn from Vera, Toby Jones from Mr. Bates vs The Post Office, and Luke Newton of Bridgerton.

In terms of the Best Soap Performance category, the nominees include Paul Foreman as Peter Ash from Coronation Street, Eden Taylor-Draper playing Belle King in Emmerdale, Angela Wynter portraying Yolande Trueman on EastEnders, and Jeff Hordley as Cain Dingle in Emmerdale.

The following contenders for the title of “Best Soap Newcomer” are Jack Carroll portraying Bobby Crawford in Coronation Street, Beth Cordingly as Ruby Fox-Milligan in Emmerdale, Isabelle Smith as Frankie Osborne on Hollyoaks, and Sydney Martin playing Betsy Swain in Coronation Street.

Nominees for the “Best Soap Newcomer” award feature Jack Carroll (Bobby Crawford), Beth Cordingly (Ruby Fox-Milligan), Isabelle Smith (Frankie Osborne), and Sydney Martin (Betsy Swain). They are all part of Coronation Street, with the exception of Beth Cordingly from Emmerdale and Isabelle Smith from Hollyoaks.

As a devoted follower, I want to highlight that there’s no duplication among the award categories within the program. In other words, no show is eligible for more than one trophy.

Previously victorious in numerous award shows the previous year, Netflix’s “Baby Reindeer” and ITV’s “Mr. Bates Vs The Post Office” will now compete head-to-head in the category of Best New Drama.

They are nominated alongside Fool Me Once and Nightsleeper.

Finalists for the Best Drama Series category are: “All Creatures Great and Small,” “Bridgerton,” “House of the Dragon,” and “Vera.

In the category of Top Entertainment Program, viewers selected among Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Gogglebox/Celebrity Gogglebox, The Graham Norton Show, as well as Race Across The World and its celebrity version.

In a twist of events, shows like Big Brother, First Dates, and Claudia Winkleman’s suspenseful The Traitors might dethrone the current ruling champion, Ant and Dec’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, as the best reality show.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t help but sing praises for the timeless gem, “Call The Midwife.” This captivating series has consistently swept the Best Family Drama awards in recent times.

The BBC1 drama is up against Casualty, Doctor Who, and Waterloo Road.

Currently, Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, and Emmerdale are all competing to win the title of Best Soap.

These TV shows – Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, and Emmerdale – are currently in the running for the Best Soap award.

Or:
Right now, the popular soap operas Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, and Emmerdale are all trying to win the Best Soap award.

Participants were also requested to select the program that had them laughing the most intensely among options like Big Mood, Brassic, BBC’s Ghosts, and E4’s Young Sheldon, all vying for the title of Best Comedy.

Combines ITV’s The 1% Club, ITV’s The Chase or The Chase Celebrity Special, BBC’s Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, and ITV’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? into an extraordinary game show extravaganza.

Once more, Britain’s Got Talent is the front-runner in the Best Reality Talent Show category, but it encounters tough rivalry from several programs such as ITV’s The Masked Singer, BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing (or Strictly It Takes Two), and Channel 4’s hit series The Great British Bake Off (and its spin-offs like The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer, Bake Off: The Professionals, Junior Bake Off, and The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice).

Between the BBC programs Animal Park and Escape to the Countryside (or I Escaped to the Country), as well as their ITV counterparts Loose Women and This Morning, the best daytime show is a close call.

In a fierce competition, Gordon Ramsay’s show “Uncharted/Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Showdown” is being challenged by “Hairy Bikers Go West” for the title of Best Food Show. Additionally, “James Martin’s Saturday Morning” and “Saturday Kitchen” are also contenders for the award.

ITV’s Long Lost Family/Long Lost Family: Born Without Trace is paired with The Martin Lewis Money Show Live in the category for Excellent Lifestyle Programs, while Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing (BBC2) and Sort Your Life Out (BBC1) are also nominated in this category.

24 Hours in Police Custody, Clarkson’s Farm, The Footage Detectives, and Springtime/Harvest/Winter on the Farm are all nominated for recognition.

Additionally, voters were given the option to choose their preferred broadcasting platform or streaming service among BBC, iPlayer, Channel 5, Netflix, and Talking Pictures TV.
