Anne-Marie Duff’s “stylish” British thriller is now on Netflix

If “Bad Sisters” has sparked your interest in seeing more of Anne-Marie Duff, then here’s a film that you shouldn’t miss watching this week!

2014 British thriller “Before I Go to Sleep” starred Duff alongside Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong. Based on SJ Watson’s novel, the film revolves around the character Christine (Kidman), who has memory loss due to a severe attack.

Since she can’t create new memories, her doctor advises her to maintain a video journal as a means of recalling significant people in her life, like her spouse Ben (Firth). However, there’s this enigmatic figure (Duff) that continues to surface in her recollections. Who is she?

For those who haven’t watched it yet or want to see it again, the film titled “Before I Go to Sleep” can now be streamed on Netflix in both the United Kingdom and Ireland.

No need to fret if you don’t have a Netflix subscription, because “Before I Go to Sleep” can be watched on BBC iPlayer over the next fortnight as well.

You can stream the thriller immediately on ITVX or the StudioCanal Presents channel on Amazon Prime Video, which is accessible to all subscribers.

Initially, “Before I Go to Sleep” didn’t receive high praise from critics when it was launched in 2014, as indicated by its score of 36% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Nonetheless, it was broadly admired as an entertaining “style-filled, swift-moving, and skillfully performed production,” even with its shortcomings.

Actress Anne-Marie Duff reappeared in the second season of Channel 4’s crime drama, “Suspect,” last year. You can catch up with it instantly on Channel 4’s streaming platform.

She can also be seen in Apple TV+ show Bad Sisters, which recently wrapped up its second season.

In the UK and Ireland, you can now stream the movie “Before I Go to Sleep” on Netflix, or catch it on BBC iPlayer.
