Rude
On Sunday, I openly expressed my displeasure towards the unprofessional and offensive behavior of the Late Late Show Eurosong panel, in a candid post on my social media platform.
On Friday evening’s show, the 42-year-old singer from Dublin sang her single “My Way,” with the aim of being selected as Ireland’s representative in this year’s Eurovision competition.
Although Samantha received a lot of favorable jury votes, unfortunately, she wasn’t chosen to represent the country in Switzerland this coming May. This decision left her feeling very angry.
Instead of Emmy representing Norway, she was chosen to represent Ireland with the song “Laika Party.” This decision came when she faced off against Samantha, Bobbi Arlo, Reylta, ADGY, and NIYL in a competition.
Following the evening’s events, she quickly posted on Instagram, expressing her thoughts and sharing photos from the night, initially with a positive tone.
She wrote in the caption: “I intended to publish this a day ago, but I was exhausted. A big thank you to each and every one of you for your fantastic messages and affection! I’ve made an effort to reply to everyone.

I am deeply proud of myself and the team for the hard work and commitment we’ve shown in this performance. I wouldn’t want to alter anything about it. Honestly, truly. Those who understood it, grasped its essence… and those who didn’t, that’s alright as well. It’s my creation, and I wholeheartedly stand by it.
However, she also commented, “I’d like to specifically call out the ‘panel,’ aside from Bambie whom I admire, for lacking the necessary qualifications, experience, and professionalism. To add insult to injury, they were impolite and harsh to all the finalists. My farewell present to them is a bag filled with what resembles an eggplant emoji – may it cause them discomfort.
Given the circumstances, it wasn’t a surprise that I didn’t get the chance to speak with them since they had departed from the green room earlier.
To conclude, I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to @latelaterte and their exceptional team. Working alongside them once more was an absolute pleasure!
Above all, I wish you, @emmykgk00, the utmost success! Represent us admirably in Switzerland and make us proud! 🇨🇭❤️
EMMY’s act received 34 points, while Mumba’s song came in second with 26.
The group comprised Donal Skehan, a renowned chef and ex-Eurosong competitor, Arthur Gourounlian, a judge on Dancing with the Stars, radio host Laura Fox, and pop artist Bambie Thug.

Under her post, Mumba casually labeled Fox, Skehan, and Gourounlian as “an extraordinary group of individuals with exceptional wit.” (Sarcasm intended)
Donald seemed to retaliate through a post when he uploaded a selfie on Sunday night, labeling it “Bozo” and adding two eggplant emojis.
Donald responded to her critical post by sharing a selfie on Sunday evening, which he captioned as “Bozo” and accompanied with two eggplant emojis.
In a statement to the Irish Independent, an RTÉ representative expressed heartfelt appreciation towards the Late Late Show Eurosong panel for their expertise, honesty, morality, and entertaining wit.
In simpler terms, they are there to provide an unbiased response to the performances that evening, sharing their opinions about the potential victory of the song and the act in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Our panel approached their decisions thoroughly and sensibly, aligning with the preference of the public who ultimately chose the artist and song to represent Ireland in this year’s competition. Expressing personal opinions can be challenging because not everyone may share the same viewpoint.
1. “We took great care in completing the task, and we’d like to express our gratitude to our team for their outstanding work last Friday evening.”
2. “We were meticulous in our approach, and we appreciate the fantastic job our panel did on the previous Friday night.”
3. “We ensured everything was done correctly, and we want to acknowledge our team for doing a terrific job on the Friday night task.”
4. “We approached it with diligence, and we owe a debt of gratitude to our team for their superb work on Friday evening.”
5. “Our attention to detail was high, and we’d like to acknowledge our panel for their excellent performance during Friday night.”
Samantha earned widespread recognition when her first single “Gotta Tell You” turned out to be a massive success in the UK, climbing up to the fourth spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.
Yet, despite amassing six chart-topping singles among the top ten, and none as number ones, she was released by her record label, subsequently transitioning to acting.
2007 saw an attempt by the singer to make a return with a homecoming concert in Dublin; however, due to poor ticket sales, the event ultimately had to be called off.
At that moment, she expressed her feelings as follows: ‘I’m disheartened that the Dublin concert got cancelled, but thrilled about the London event and wishing that when my upcoming album is released, I can perform it live in Dublin – a long-held dream of mine to showcase my performance in my hometown.’

Samantha has featured in several indie movies and played a leading role in the holiday production, “Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates” during Christmastime.
After retiring from music, the Irish celebrity has established a fresh lifestyle in Los Angeles for herself.
Samantha tied the knot in February 2012 with her police officer husband Torray Scales.
In September 2014, the pair shared that they were going to have a child together, and their little girl, Sage, was born in March 2015.
