The tournament run for Team M80 at the Six Invitational has been clouded with disputes, yet they’ve managed to survive and continue their journey in the competition, though now positioned in the lower bracket.
2025’s Six Invitational stands as the most significant esports tournament for Rainbow Six Siege, boasting a staggering multi-million dollar reward fund. This prestigious event represents the zenith of R6 esports. Yet, following a conflict between DarkZero and M80, Ubisoft has imposed disciplinary measures on certain members within the M80 team.
Ubisoft ejects M80 manager and coach from Six Invitational
At the Six Invitational 2025, Ubisoft removed both the M80 team coach and their manager for repeatedly disregarding the rules by engaging with players during periods when such communication was prohibited. This action followed numerous warnings, as reported by various experts in the field.

Despite repeated warnings, Budega persisted in conversing with players. Consequently, during the third offense, they issued a round to DZ and confiscated his headset. Later, following the game, an administrative team was required to intervene physically to prevent Budega from approaching Nafe.
Additionally, Penguin noted that numerous coaches had been conversing with the players during the competition. Therefore, it was not entirely unexpected when one coach found themselves in a predicament.
At the conclusion of the match between DarkZero and M80 during the Six Invitational 2025, coaches Matheus ‘Budega’ Figueriedo and Igor Vivas were promptly expelled due to a heated exchange following the game. A video shared on the DarkZero social media platform shows Budega engaging in a verbal argument with M80’s players.
You can support your team during the game, but you aren’t allowed to offer advice outside of designated break periods. I strongly believe in fair play, and it’s clear that he exceeded the boundaries, which is a matter for the administrators to decide. It’s not right to gain an unfair advantage, if you understand what I mean. We all want to win honestly, but if rules are broken, they’re broken. Unfortunately, we can’t do anything about it since that was an administrative decision, so there’s not much more I can say about it.

The chief executive of M80 expressed his discontentment through a post, as they felt that the company’s image was misrepresented during its appearances on an international platform.
In the opening round of the Upper Bracket, match number one featured a clash between M80 and DarkZero. The teams engaged in a thrilling series that spanned across three different maps: Skyscraper, Clubhouse, and Bank. Initially, M80 seized control of Skyscraper with an impressive 7-1 victory. However, the following two maps were won by DarkZero, who ultimately clinched the series triumph.
This win positioned DarkZero against FURIA in the Quarterfinals, but unfortunately, they ended up losing 0-2, forcing them into the lower bracket for The Six Invitational tournament.
