`Isla Fisher Reveals She’s Not Ready to Date After Difficult Divorce`

Nearly a year since their separation announcement, Isla Fisher openly discusses her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen.

The female Australian actor, aged 49, who spent two decades in a romantic partnership with another actor, confessed that ‘experiencing divorce has been the most challenging ordeal she has faced’ and shared her thoughts on whether she intends to start dating again in the near future.

In a shared announcement made in April 2024, Isla and Sacha, both aged 53, disclosed that they had gone their separate ways the year prior. They told their fans: ‘After a lengthy game of tennis spanning over 20 years, we are now stepping away from the court.’

In a conversation with the Sunday Times, Isla expressed: “That experience has been the hardest for me, yet it taught me a great deal about myself. Initially, I wouldn’t have thought my family would ever be apart, but we remain dedicated and affectionate parents.

Isla shared that her parents divorced when she was nine, and mentioned that the amicable settlement they reached is what she aspires towards now.

As a die-hard fan, I can honestly say that their dynamic was like a beautifully composed symphony – not a single discordant note in sight. I’ve never witnessed them arguing or having disagreements, and their inclusivity towards one another was simply astounding. They truly seemed to embrace each other’s presence and support one another wholeheartedly.

When asked if that was the ‘blueprint’, for her separation, Isla said: ‘That’s the dream’.

In the bustling city of London, Isla and Sacha share parenting responsibilities for their trio of children: Olive (age 17), Elula (age 14), and nine-year-old Montgomery.

Ever since I’ve found myself sailing solo for nearly two years, I couldn’t help but wonder if I’m prepared to take a swim in the romantic waters again. That’s the question that was posed to none other than Isla.

Laughing nervously, she quipped, “That task isn’t on my schedule. I’m not quite prepared yet to even consider it.

Previously, it came to light that Isla began the new year by admitting herself to an upscale health spa situated along the shores of Lake Constance, Germany.

On New Year’s Eve, Isla chose to spend her time at Buchinger Wilhelmi, a clinic that specializes in therapeutic fasting, holistic healing methods, and inspiring wellness.

Posting pictures of her peaceful getaway on Instagram, the ex-Home and Away actor seemed overjoyed, wandering through the tranquil setting of the wellness center.

She said: ‘This has been the most incredible way to spend the new year. Six days at Buchinger!’.

Reflecting on how it aided her recovery, Isla shared: ‘All that’s been suppressed suddenly surfaces.’

At Buchinger, wellness packages range from approximately AUD$5,649 for a standard room, to as high as AUD$32,035 for a week-long stay in more luxurious accommodations.

It isn’t certain which apartment Isla stayed in while she was there, but it seems she selected the Time Out package.

The website describes the package as ‘a week devoted to recuperation and regeneration. 

In the closing stages of her stay at the retreat, Isla expressed gratitude towards her friends who had been particularly helpful following her recent divorce.

She shared a poignant post to finish off her 2024 by showing ‘gratitude’ to her loved ones.

‘I’m ending 2024 with gratitude,’ Isla began her post.

To the ones who’ve been by my side from the start – my family and longtime friends, and to those who’ve welcomed us into their lives more recently: my cherished companions and their loving households where my children now call home.

To those who constantly messaged, I want to express my affection for each and every one of you. May your year 2025 be filled with immense joy!

In 2023, Isla and Sacha officially filed for divorce, and they made it public that they had separated in April 2024.

Reflecting on two decades filled with thrilling rallies and unforgettable victories, I’ve decided to hang up my trusty tennis racquet for good. The court has been my second home, but it’s time to explore new horizons in this exciting journey called life.

In the year 2023, we mutually submitted papers to dissolve our marriage. We’ve consistently valued our privacy and have been discreetly navigating this transition.

In 2001, they initially crossed paths, and they officially became married in 2010. Regrettably, their union ended not long after moving their entire family to Australia.
