Royal Family Member a Huge Strictly Come Dancing Fan
It’s been disclosed that one individual from the Royal Family holds a deep affection for Strictly Come Dancing and may have cast a vote in Angela Rippon’s favor during the competition.
80-year-old seasoned journalist Angela captured the nation’s affection when she danced with partner Kai Widdrington on Strictly Come Dancing in the year 2023.
Indeed, Queen Camilla was quite taken with Angela, as it turned out that she had some heartfelt praise to share about Angela’s performance on the program.
Opening up during a candid chat with The Sun, the broadcaster said: ‘The Queen said we were cool.’
When questioned about whether the Queen consort had voted for them, she simply said, “I’m not sure,” followed by a playful wink.
Angela finished seventh on Strictly Come Dancing and got eliminated during the Blackpool week. Despite this, she has continued to maintain a strong friendship with her dancing partner, Kai, who is 29 years old.

At the moment, their homes are located just a short five-minute walk away from each other. They usually catch up nearly every day, and they’ve decided to collaborate on an exciting new project named “Let’s Dance!” together.
The duo will kick off the largest national dance festival yet, as numerous dance studios are preparing themselves throughout the country.
Beginning on March 2nd, this pair is set to conduct a variety of trial workshops, covering styles such as ballroom, ballet, hip-hop, and breakdancing.
On March 3, it was a great success when Angela persuaded Health Secretary Wes Streeting to join the dance practice session, Let’s Dance!.
The ex-Strictly competitor remarked, “Observe infants as soon as they start walking – play some music, and they instinctively respond to it.
Regardless of whether you’re in your sixties, seventies, or even eighties, there’s still room for dancing – you can even do it while seated in a chair!
This journey began as a result of the overwhelming feedback I received following my participation in Strictly, with many individuals finding inspiration in my performances on the program.

‘I started ballet when I was five and danced until I was 17.
Reflecting on my earlier dance background during my time on Strictly, I experienced immense advantages personally. This experience ignited a passionate purpose within me.
Looking back at Strictly Come Dancing’s Blackpool Special of last year, the journalist expressed: ‘For me, the excitement lay in stepping onto that legendary dancefloor, not as a TV host, but as a dancer.’
Feeling the pure delight of being within that special area, on that extraordinary floor, is a sensation that all competitors, whether beginners or experts, share when they’re present.
