Noah Cyrus Defends Dad Billy Ray Amid Explosive Family Drama

Noah Cyrus expresses great pride in her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, for his newest song, despite the challenges they’ve faced as a family.

On Saturday, the 25-year-old vocalist posted on her Instagram Story a re-shared sneak peek of the latest track, expressing delight over Billy Ray Cyrus’s remarkable new song, “Lost.

I’m really proud of my Dad for his amazing new single ‘LOST’, which he made with my longtime friends Sam Tinnesz and Tommee Profitt, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus,” she wrote above the video.

This post represents the initial instance where the July vocalist openly acknowledges her 63-year-old father, following suggestions by brother Trace Cyrus that they had strained relations.

The launch of “Lost” occurred approximately three weeks following the highly debated performance by Billy Ray at Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington D.C., an event that sparked much conversation.

Following the disappointing show, Trace posted a surprising message on Instagram, stating that he hardly felt he knew the country artist anymore and encouraged him to reach out for assistance.

From my very first recollections, it seems like I’ve always been captivated by you and thought you were incredibly awesome. I aspired to emulate you. The moment you took me in was the most joyful day I’ve ever known.

Regrettably, the person I yearned to emulate so deeply is hardly recognizable to me now. It appears as though life’s challenges have left their mark on you, a reality that seems evident to those around you, except perhaps yourself.

He expressed his concern, saying that him, Brandi, Miley, and Noah have been deeply concerned about you for quite some time now, but you’ve tended to distance yourself from all of us.

In a heartfelt manner, the guitarist expressed his feelings: ‘Noah deeply yearns for your presence in her life, yet you’ve been absent. That’s your little girl, and she deserves more. Somehow, much like me, she still admires you, despite everything. We all cling to memories of the man we once knew, praying for the day he reappears.’

A few days afterward, Billy Ray Cyrus’s 35-year-old brother likewise asserted that he had been warned about potential lawsuits due to his social media post which portrayed the artist of Old Town Road negatively.

In the next post, Trace expressed: “Dad, my message was incredibly loving. I could have been much more open about many other things, but I don’t want to expose our private matters like that. However, it’s shocking that you would use legal action as a response to me seeking help for you – that’s utterly disrespectful.

Speaking about his grandfather on his father’s side, he commented, “I can guarantee you that Grandpa is watching over you with great disapproval. It would be appropriate for you to feel embarrassed.

My affection for you remains unchanged, but I can no longer hold you in high esteem as a man. Those around you are too afraid to express their true feelings, but I am not. I urge you to seek help.

I’ve just indicated that I haven’t received any word yet from my father. Interestingly, it appears he has chosen to pursue legal action against me due to my efforts in urging him to seek assistance.

In 2022, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus decided to go their individual ways, and just a year later, in 2023, Billy Ray married Australian artist Firerose (real name Johanna Rosie Hodges), who is 36 years old.

The marriage began to fall apart rapidly, with claims of chaos surfacing. During their separation process, court filings showed that each party accused the other of mental, verbal, and psychologically harmful behavior.
