Jodie Turner-Smith Accuses Ex Joshua Jackson of Seeking Sole Custody of Their Daughter

It seems that, according to reports, Jodie Turner-Smith is claiming that her ex, Joshua Jackson, is trying to obtain full legal custody of their four-year-old daughter, Juno, following their separation.

As a devoted follower, I’m sharing an update: In October 2023, Turner-Smith, aged 38, initiated divorce proceedings against Jackson, who is 46 years old. New insights have surfaced regarding the continuing custody dispute between the two parties.

According to a declaration submitted by actress’ attorney, Laura Wasser, and recently acquired by DailyMail.com, it is stated that the actress’ estranged spouse denied her access to their shared child during her filming schedule in London last year, as she had requested custody time.

On December 23rd, a legal document was submitted by the performer, who was born in Britain and educated in America, along with her lawyer (charging $900 per hour), requesting the court to compel the Canadian actor to initiate regular monetary payments to her each month.

As an ardent fan, I must share this intriguing revelation: In line with TMZ’s report, The Agency’s star allegedly asserted that Jackson had gone back on his word. This promise, she claimed, was to ensure our daughter’s financial stability should we ever part ways, as he supposedly comprehended the challenges life poses for Black women and single mothers.

Initially, it appears Turner-Smith requested that Jackson cover a monthly expense of $8,543 for child support, $28,641 for spousal maintenance, along with a sum of $250,000 to cover attorney fees and forensic accounting costs.

In an interview with Glamour UK in October 2024, she expressed her feelings about her ex by saying: “He is free to make his own choices. However, I hope he treats Juno and Juno’s mother well because I will always be Juno’s mother.

She added: ‘When parting ways with someone, it’s a transition phase for everyone since you’ve grown accustomed to spending so much time with your child.’

The actress confessed that being separated from her five-year-old child in April was extremely challenging for her.

In her divorce papers, the actress who played The Queen and Slim mentioned “insurmountable disagreements” as she aimed to step away from a relationship that she deemed “harmful.

Weeks following Turner-Smith’s formal divorce filing, images emerged of Jackson walking hand-in-hand with actress Lupita Nyong’o. This occurred just hours after their relationship became public knowledge.

In a 2024 interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Nyong’o admitted that her relationship with Jackson had ended.
