Dancing on Ice star pulls out of live show after injury
This week, “Dancing on Ice” contestant Eric Radford is unable to participate in the live show due to medical recommendations.
This weekend, the skating partner of popular EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks, who happens to be a professional skater, won’t be able to perform due to an injury sustained during practice sessions. In his stead, Brendyn Hatfield will take the ice and dance with Charlie instead.
I stumbled upon some exciting news while scrolling through my social feeds today – the official Dancing on Ice account announced something new! And to make sure I didn’t miss it, my pal Eric also shared it on his Insta Stories. Can’t wait to find out what they’ve got planned!
The caption reads: “Everyone at Dancing On Ice sends their best wishes for a quick recovery to Eric, and we’re grateful to Brendyn for standing in this week.” Eric replied: “Thank you for your support! Looking forward to returning next week!
In addition, supportive comments came from fellow professional skaters like Vanessa James (skating with TOWIE’s Dan Edgar), Vicky Ogden (skating with Sir Steve Redgrave), and Colin Grafton (skating with The Traitors’ Mollie Pearce).
Additionally, it’s not just Eric who has been injured during rehearsals this year. Previously, Dame Sarah Storey had to withdraw before the live shows, while comedian Josh Jones left in week two due to training injuries.
Last Sunday’s episode disclosed that professional skater Vanessa Bauer had to leave the show because of a torn ligament and various sprains. In her place, dancer Robin Johnstone performed with Vanessa’s partner, Chris Taylor from Love Island.
Wow, yet another injury! This is surprising and unsettling. Here’s hoping that everyone involved remains in good health.”
Another fan commented, “It seems like there have been many injuries this season. I wish them a speedy recovery.
Dancing on Ice airs Sunday nights on ITV1 and ITVX.
