Gino D’Acampo’s Lewd Joke About Holly Willoughby Resurfaces Amid Allegations

Recently, a video has been shared again that shows Gino D’Acampo making jokes about Holly Willoughby‘s private parts. This comes as D’Acampo is dealing with accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior.

The renowned Italian chef, aged 48, has faced numerous accusations of sexually improper and threatening conduct spanning a 12-year timeframe – allegations that he refutes.

During the ITV News investigation, a previously controversial clip from This Morning resurfaced, in which Gino made an inappropriate comment about Holly’s private parts, causing outrage among viewers originally.

During the broadcast in November 2021, Holly experienced embarrassment when Gino humorously referred to personal parts of her anatomy and utilized her physical form to depict a geographical map of Italy.

Initially, Gino playfully suggested that his bellybutton was like Rome. However, Philip Schofield quickly interjected with a comment: “I’m quite worried if he’s going to discuss Sicily in this context.

However, Gino elaborated: ‘Actually, Sicily lies much further south. But if we imagine Rome as the navel, Naples, where I was born, would be located on your left side.’

However, I attended a school near Mount Vesuvius. Since it’s more inland, I could accurately state that I spent my adolescence learning and playing nearby… your area down there.

Holly was left shocked by the crude remark and shrieked: ‘Oh my God!’

But Gino insisted: ‘There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just a word that everybody knows.’ 

Initially, the remarks sparked a strong backlash from spectators, who labeled the broadcast as “rough” or “insensitive,” and some even criticized him for “embarrassing” or “shaming” Holly.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share my thoughts on the situation. At 11 am, Gino begins his recurring innuendos about…well, you get the picture. It’s becoming a bit repetitive and losing its charm, if I may say so.

‘My late mum loved This Morning but now it’s all dirty talk every chance they get…’;

As an ardent viewer, I can’t help but express my discomfort. Gino’s humor seems to veer into territories that are not amusing to me. It’s not merely his jokes, but the fact that such remarks were deemed acceptable to make live on television next to Holly.

The surprising jest, once again brought up, finds the chef in the spotlight amid accusations from numerous individuals, who find his reported behavior over the last 12 years to be ‘troubling’ and ‘inappropriate’.

As reported by ITV News, it appears that at least one production company knew about recurring concerns regarding Gino’s behavior from their employees but still chose to collaborate with him on subsequent television productions.

On Friday, ITV pulled all of Gino’s shows from its upcoming schedules, TopMob revealed.

In 2011, a woman, referred to as Hannah, recounted an unsettling incident that occurred during a photo session for a magazine.

According to her account, Gino openly made a sexually suggestive remark in front of everyone, stating that he wanted to have sex with her from behind on the kitchen counter, which left her feeling embarrassed and mortified.

She remembered a wave of laughter, as others appeared to gaze anxiously at their cups of tea.

Hannah expressed that the event left her with a sense of “deep dread” and “astonishment,” yet she wasn’t taken aback that nobody stepped in to help.

Gino has firmly denied all allegations, calling them ‘deeply upsetting’.

The legal team stated, “The claim dating back nearly 15 years was never previously brought up or addressed to Mr. D’Acampo. He cannot remember it and denies its occurrence.

A lady identified as Natalie shared an uneasy account with Gino during their meeting for a filming job at a specific location.

‘He opened the door in his boxer shorts, nothing else,’ she claimed. 

Next, he leaped onto the bed, lifted a leg and humorously alluded to his personal area, jesting about its dimensions.

Natalie expressed her sense of revulsion and imputed that the TV cook was abusing his authority by acting improperly.

According to Gino’s lawyers, the claims about him regarding ‘Gino’s Italian Express’ haven’t been brought up against him, as far as they are aware.

Six years have passed since these supposed occurrences were initially brought to his attention, yet it’s only now that he’s learning about them. However, let it be known, he completely refutes these allegations.

According to a previous coworker’s assertion, Gino reportedly confronted a young team member forcefully regarding an ice cream incident back in 2019.

In ITV News, it was reported that a woman stated, “I witnessed Gino making this threat to the runner: ‘If you don’t bring me an ice cream (specifically a Cornetto), I’ll mess with your girlfriend.’

Another crew member who witnessed the incident said the remark had ‘stuck in my head for years’. 

‘He was using his power to bully and intimidate us,’ she said. ‘For what? A cookery programme.’

In response to the allegation, I, as a dedicated follower, can confirm that Gino expressed his deep regret, stating he has no memory of this specific event whatsoever.

A separate claim relates to the filming of Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip in 2018.

Lena remembered: Instead of greeting her, he bluntly declared that he was having a difficult day. (Implying the phrase was used to express his frustration.)

As a fervent admirer, I’ve heard whispers that my beloved Gino may have crossed a line. It’s been suggested that he made an inappropriate remark about a fellow team member’s chest, which if true, is certainly not the behavior I’ve come to appreciate and respect from him.

‘Shouldn’t we be talking about her t**? They’re perfect, like a mouthful.’

Back in 2018, it’s come to light that Objective Media Group, the makers of Gordon, Gino and Fred, had already received concerns about Gino at that time.

As a seasoned lifestyle advisor, I can attest that sometimes, the most captivating personalities are those who can effortlessly blend into their surroundings while still making a profound impact. For instance, a woman I know who worked with Gino’s Italian Express shared with ITV News her unique observation: ‘Gino’s “charming rogue” image enables him to camouflage himself among us ordinary viewers. Whenever I catch a glimpse of him on television, I find myself compelled to step away.’

Regarding Gino, who’s made a fortune with his vibrant character, he flatly rejects any accusations brought against him.

According to his lawyers, no one has personally reported such accusations to Mr. D’Acampo. He does not remember making those remarks and denies that they originated from him.

In my line of work as a lifestyle expert, I often come across situations where concerns about an individual’s behavior are brought to light. As recently as December 2024, it appears that such a scenario unfolded within the Objective Media Group, as emails obtained by ITV News seem to indicate. These documents reportedly reveal that apprehensions were expressed regarding the conduct of one Gino. This underscores the importance of maintaining professionalism and respect in all our interactions.

Responding to this, the company acknowledged that they had addressed his behavior outside of work and offered him specific training tailored to the situation.

ITV clearly stated: ‘Such behavior is unequivocally unacceptable to us at ITV.’

Given the current scrutiny surrounding ITV and their handling of past grievances, the long-term prospects for Gino’s television career are looking unclear.

For now, the TV presenter insists he has been unfairly accused. 

In response to the accusations, Gino D’Acampo clarified to ITV News that he has been informed of claims being made against him for inappropriate behavior, some of which are said to be over a decade old.

I wasn’t informed about these issues before, and I strongly refute the accusations. I strive to avoid causing discomfort or sorrow to others, as that doesn’t align with my character. The account presented to me seems unfamiliar.

As someone who has always acted appropriately, I’ve never encountered these accusations previously. Instead, I’ve consistently received backing from top-tier executives and been given opportunities to shine on prime-time shows—all during the timeframe when it’s now insinuated that my behavior was in question.

As a dad, spouse, and someone who’s worked with more than 1,500 individuals on approximately 80 projects throughout my career, I feel incredibly proud of these accomplishments. Any insinuation that I’ve behaved inappropriately is not only distressing but also takes the gravity of the matter very seriously.
