The Split star’s divisive period drama gets schedule change at ITV

As a devoted admirer, I wanted to share some intriguing news about Benjamin Wainwright’s captivating series, “Belgravia: The Next Chapter”. It seems that the broadcast schedule for this divisive period drama has experienced an adjustment over at ITV.

Initially scheduled for debut on ITVX on February 23, the standalone production from Julian Fellowes’ 2020 miniseries “Belgravia” was previously made available in the United States earlier last year.

Exciting news for fellow fans! The much-anticipated release of our favorite eight-part series has just had its date confirmed. Starting from this coming Sunday, March 9, we can finally stream it exclusively on the platform. Can’t wait!

In the next phase, the narrative of “Belgravia: The Next Chapter” unfolds thirty years after the initial events in “Belgravia,” focusing on the romantic tale between Frederick Trenchard (Wainwright), now the third Lord Glanville, and Clara Dunn, a fresh face in London society.

I find myself utterly smitten, as if lifted off the ground by an unseen gust. A proposal swiftly follows, but it doesn’t take long for me to realize that Frederick bears deep wounds from his past. The scars were inflicted during years of emotional neglect and resentment, a legacy left by his father who seemed to favor his younger brother, James, over him.

In her effort to mend Frederick’s connection with James for his well-being, Clara finds herself cultivating an unexpected bond with the charismatic Dr. Ellerby (Edward Bluemel). This bond leads her deeper into his unconventional lifestyle.

Inspired by their vibrant lifestyle, Clara starts pondering about her role in life,” (the synopsis proceeds).

Clara and Frederick need to navigate the gossips that are looming over them, uncovering hidden truths as they strive for enduring joy.

The eight-episode show garnered a mix of praise and criticism after its U.S. debut last year. Some found it stunningly beautiful and remarkable, whereas others deemed it a disorganized mess.

Instead, UK viewers can make their own choice as to when they watch the series, starting from March 9, on ITVX.

Belgravia: The Next Chapter will stream exclusively on ITVX from Sunday, March 9.
