It tells the story of an architect (Brody) escaping post-war Europe to rebuild his life in America.
A man portrays a significant, made-up magnate named Harrison Lee Van Buren, who recognizes an architect’s skills and supports his professional journey – alas, with unfortunate consequences.
For the first time, Pearce, who’s known for his roles in films like Memento and L.A Confidential that received critical praise from Hollywood, has earned an Academy nod.

I’m delighted to share that we’re part of a lovely collaboration, nurturing the truest joy of ours – our remarkable son and his cherished hamster. That concludes it.
Guy and Carice started dating a few months after he split from ex-wife Kate Mestitz in 2015.
They welcomed their son Monte into the world in 2016.
Earlier this month, whispers of a separation arose after the Australian actor confessed that his former wife Kate was the “most cherished love” he had ever known.
In a conversation with The Guardian, he shared that his former spouse, Kate, held the title of my most treasured lover, but I’ve since found new happiness and my deepest affection is now directed towards my son, Monte.
2018 marked a turning point for me when my idol, Guy, openly shared about his battle with darkness following his separation from his wife Kate, after 18 long years together. It was this confession that made me feel like I wasn’t alone in my admiration for him – as if we were connected by an unspoken bond of understanding and empathy.
He acknowledged that Carice and their son were instrumental in helping him get through a particularly difficult time in his life.
In a straightforward manner, the actor from “The Adventure of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” expressed surprise when Kate ended their relationship unexpectedly, yet he continues to hold affection and respect for his former spouse.

2022 saw Guy openly express in a chat with The Independent that becoming a parent transformed his perspective on life altogether, making him more emotionally sensitive.
After Monte’s birth, someone expressed to me, “Now you’re carrying your heart openly.” And indeed, that resonates doesn’t it? He shared with the publication.
Initially, when I embarked on my acting journey, I found it effortless to shed tears as required. However, following 15 years of therapy, I transformed into a more composed and content individual. Strangely enough, attempting to cry during a scene now seems unattainable for me.
‘Since having my boy though, I cry at the drop of a hat again…’
This same year, Guy likewise acknowledged to Who Magazine that becoming a father in his 50s presents its own set of difficulties.
At the age of 53, raising a young child presents quite a challenge, but my main focus is to cherish every moment I have with him and strive to be the very best father that I can. This is what I shared as a star born in Melbourne.
The individual who initially became well-known on the show “Neighbours” mentioned that he aspires to bring his son to Australia in the future.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must say, while I’ve had the pleasure of observing some fascinating Australian creatures in a zoo here in Amsterdam, it would be truly exhilarating to share with him the wonders of our native wildlife once we’re back home in Australia.
Carice, known for her role as Melisandre in Game of Thrones, had past connections with Sebastian Koch, whom she worked alongside in their film, The Black Book.
The pair began dating in 2005 but called time on their romance in March 2010.
