Romesh Ranganathan takes on surprise role away from TV

This week, Romesh Ranganathan stepped out of his usual screen roles and gave baking a try instead.

The creator and lead actor of the sitcom titled “Avoidance” used to work as a cashier at Coughlan’s Bakery in Dorking. Earlier, this celebrity had teamed up with the bakery chain to develop a tasty vegan pastry option.

Romesh, who eventually transitioned into a bakery in his native town of Crawley, expressed about the endeavor (as reported by BBC Radio Surrey): “It was pleasant to interact with people. I simply wanted to participate. The gatherings are more enjoyable than my stand-up performances. I’m enjoying every moment.

It felt a bit uncomfortable since many attendees were preoccupied with their phones, as some were there primarily for shopping. However, I didn’t want to make anyone feel awkward if they wished to take a picture. The tricky part is when I ask them if they would like a photo and they decline the offer.

For some time now, we’ve been creating something exciting – a unique blend of chocolate, cookie dough, and croissant. I must be honest; this isn’t a health food option. However, it’s currently under development and will soon be available for all to enjoy. I might be biased, but I believe it has the potential to redefine baking as we know it. It could very well revolutionize the industry.

Coughlan posted a picture of Romesh on Instagram, captioned: “Romesh has dropped by our bakery in Dorking! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ #dorking #coughlansbakery #bakery #family #delicious #team
