Two BBC stars lead cast for new “high-stakes” British prison drama
Two BBC stars have been cast in a new “high-stakes” crime drama coming to Sky.
The character being played by Tahar Rahim and Izuka Hoyle, who have previously been seen in “The Serpent” and “Boiling Point,” will be the main focus of this role.
In summary, an action-thriller produced by Sky Original follows the tale of a conscientious young corrections officer tasked with transporting a treacherous, valuable inmate to court to provide testimony against his powerful criminal organization.
I step into the shoes of Tibor Stone, the imprisoned character, while my gaming buddy assumes the role of Amber Todd, the stern prison officer. Our journey takes a dramatic turn when her transport convoy suffers a brutal ambush.
In our unique predicament, Amber and I find ourselves as the last ones standing. We’re compelled to flee, our lives hanging by a thread. Collaboration is key if we’re to make it to our destination in one piece and within the given timeframe. The narrative unfolds from there…
As they navigate their odyssey, their bond becomes a labyrinth, complicating further as the criminal network relentlessly pursues them. Amber finds herself in a precarious position, doubting everyone around her – even the murderer she’s shackled with.
However, with all that she cherishes on the line, she’s faced with a difficult dilemma: which ethical boundaries is she prepared to transgress?
The production will be overseen by Otto Bathurst, who previously worked on “Peaky Blinders.” Matt Charman, a BAFTA and Academy Award-nominated writer, is responsible for writing the screenplay.
Actors such as Eddie Marsan from “The Thief,” Catherine McCormack known for her role in “28 Weeks Later,” Leonie Benesch who was recently seen in “September 5,” Finn Bennett famous for his work on “True Detective,” Sam Troughton from “Black Doves,” Laurie Davidson of “Mary & George,” Ken Nwosu from “Sticks and Stones,” Brían F. O’Byrne recognized for his role in “Conclave,” and Youssef Kerkour who appeared in “Lockerbie: A Search For Truth” are among the stars in this production.
Beyond his role in “Prisoner”, Rahin will also appear in the upcoming film “Alpha”, directed by Julia Ducournau. Notably, Ducournau is known for her critically acclaimed Cannes films like “Raw” and “Titane”.
In this version, I’ve tried to maintain the original information while making it more natural and easy to read.
In the upcoming third and last season of “Big Boys,” Hoyle is set to return to our TV screens starting from February 9.
She will reprise the role of Connie alongside Dylan Llewellyn as Jack and Jon Pointing as Danny.
