Awhina Breaks Silence: Was Adrian Cheating on Her with His Twin?

Bride Awhina Rutene from Married At First Sight has voiced her thoughts following the sighting of her husband, Adrian Araouzou, with another woman in Sydney on the weekend, with their arms apparently around each other.

When speaking with Daily Mail Australia, the 30-year-old mother of one gave an evasive answer, which has added fuel to the rumors surrounding the state of their alleged union.

‘The public have been demanding that I dye my hair brown – who knows?’ she laughed.

Perhaps, under the influence of Australia’s social environment, I met up with my husband in Sydney. It could have been so.

On Friday evening, an observant spectator noticed Adrian in Sydney, accompanied by an unidentified lady.

They appeared genuinely content as they walked together, their arms affectionately entwined.

However, surprisingly, Adrian asserted that the situation was a case of mistaken identity – the man with the enigmatic woman was none other than his identical twin, James.

Adrian emphasized that we’re alike not just in appearance but specifically with matching haircuts. In fact, neither of us sports long hair at this moment; instead, our hairstyles are strikingly similar today.

Before the performance, we had a feeling this might transpire, so we opted for the identical hairstyle. Since the audience won’t notice the change, it’s particularly relevant now.

However, James has a sleeve tattoo on his right arm while Adrian’s ink sits on his left.

When pressed about this Adrian offered quite the cryptic answer. 

‘I guess we’ll have to wait and find out, I don’t know,’ he said.

‘I mean, it might have been a girlfriend. It might have been my brother. Who knows?’

At the television wedding reception, Adrian found himself taken aback when he learned that his wife-to-be, Awhina, had a six-year-old son.

He shared with Daily Mail Australia that he was utterly astonished by the disclosure, expressing his surprise that Awhina hadn’t brought up this detail during their vows instead.

‘On the day, obviously it’s over,’ he said.

‘Did I have to find out from her mum? Why didn’t she mention it in her vows?’

Despite being blindsided by the news he said he would approach the situation with an open mind.

‘I thought about everything, I thought about every single thing from the good to the bad,’ he said.

If I develop feelings for this girl, it means I would also grow fond of her son. Should our relationship not succeed, I would lose not just one but two significant individuals whom I hold dear in my life.

After spending the entire seven-hour flight talking with the pair, he mentioned that he was certain they had discovered something during their conversation, as they were en route to their Fiji honeymoon.

He remembered, “We continued talking right up until we boarded the plane to Fiji for our seven-hour journey, only stopping when we had to leap out.

‘And we knew straight away, there’s definitely something here.’

Additionally, Adrian playfully hinted that their edit would likely generate even more excitement, similar to popcorn at the movies.

‘Stay tuned, it just gets better,’ he said.
