Tom Brady says he enjoys being tested by new broadcasting and Raiders co-ownership roles
Tom Brady is universally recognized as the best quarterback ever, with an uncanny ability to excel under pressure and win Super Bowl titles that no one else can match.
But his current juggling act might be every bit as difficult an endeavor.
In September, Brady stepped into the role of an analyst for Fox’s NFL broadcasts for the first time, following a 10-year, $375 million deal, although he was relatively new to the booth.
About a month past, the NFL granted its approval for him to acquire a shareholding in the Las Vegas Raiders, representing a minority interest.
In essence, any potential conflict of interest was resolved by preventing Brady from participating in pre-game production meetings for matches he commentated on, as well as barring him from attending NFL training sessions for teams apart from the Raiders.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion addressed it Wednesday during a news conference.
As a passionate cinephile, I acknowledge that I still have a ways to go before reaching my full potential. Yet, I truly cherish every moment of this exciting journey, as it offers me invaluable experiences.
About owning a team, he expressed, “For me, what’s fantastic is my deep passion for football. It’s incredible to be able to stay connected with it for the long term and present this wonderful sport, not only as a broadcaster, but also in a limited partner capacity with an organization.
1. Both positions have been distinguished by notable accomplishments. He has surpassed the exceptional color commentator Greg Olsen, who was replaced by Fox with Brady for the role of analyst during the Super Bowl on Sunday.
2. The roles were both previously marked by significant achievements. He went beyond the outstanding color commentator Greg Olsen, who was substituted by Fox with Brady to serve as the analyst during the Super Bowl on Sunday.
3. Both positions have already seen impressive feats. He has moved past the exceptional color commentator Greg Olsen, who was swapped out by Fox in favor of Brady to take up the analyst role during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Greg Olsen will not participate in Fox’s Super Bowl LIX broadcast, as the lead analyst position was given to Tom Brady instead. However, he expresses his intention to return to calling major games in the future.
Regarding Brady’s involvement with the Raiders, it appears to be ongoing, even though he emphasized that his ownership interests are primarily focused on a longer-term, less public, behind-the-scenes capacity.
The franchise recently announced some notable hires: They’ve brought on board experienced coach Pete Carroll, who was previously with another team. They also managed to secure respected executive Mark Thewes from their division rival, the Denver Broncos, for the position of senior vice president of football operations. Lastly, they have recruited Chip Kelly, who was at Ohio State, as their new offensive coordinator.
Brady expressed his commitment to backing both the team and its leadership, as well as the shared goal of achieving success. He wishes many other players also have this chance. For him, it’s essential for the game to keep progressing, enhancing, and improving. Whatever part he can contribute to that development, he is genuinely thrilled about it.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell disclosed on Monday that Tom Brady regularly touched base with the league authorities throughout the season to gather their insights on how they were managing a potential conflict-of-interest situation involving him and the league.

In a different role, Tom Brady comments on NFL matches for Fox, however, due to his part-ownership of the Raiders, he is prohibited from critiquing other teams, game referees, or participating in pre-game broadcast planning sessions.
The rule restricting Brady’s attendance at Super Bowl production meetings has been eased. Now, he can join gatherings with both the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, but he’s not permitted to observe practice sessions yet.
Despite his undeniable expertise in the sport, Brady has faced criticism for supposedly being too lenient with players who commit errors during games. He admitted that he tends to focus more on the perspective of spectators rather than the players themselves.
He mentioned, “It’s fascinating since it’s not enjoyable for the audience to see someone being overly critical on air. I don’t see negative criticism as my approach towards the game. Instead, we’re watching athletes at their peak performance. We’re not criticizing the player, but rather the play or the choice they made. I hold a great deal of admiration for anyone who puts on a uniform and steps onto the field because they’re taking a significant risk.
Simultaneously, there are aspects I’ve been critical of which I don’t shy away from expressing my genuine thoughts about whenever they present themselves. I strive for fairness and transparency. My dedication to upholding integrity is strong, and I take it seriously in this position.
Rams
2026 sees the Rams hosting the NFL’s inaugural regular-season game in Australia, with the opposing team yet to be determined.
Speaking as a dedicated cinephile, when it comes to gearing up for Super Bowl LIX, ol’ Brady mentioned that Fox has already filmed our chat with Patrick Mahomes – you’ll catch it during the pre-game spectacle. I want to stress that any recognition Mahomes receives is entirely merited and well-earned.
Brady told him, ‘You know, nothing would make me more delighted than you achieving something no team or quarterback has done before.’ This is because I take joy in watching others excel. I don’t think Patrick’s achievements will in any way lessen what I achieved in my career.
Now Brady has dual careers that he’s trying to make sure don’t become dueling careers.
He stated that an essential aspect of living involves pushing beyond your limits and trying out novel experiences, as this can lead to profound personal transformation.
