Channel 4 has confirmed that an episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer featuring Scott Mills will not air. Mills was scheduled to appear with Aston Merrygold, Edith Bowman, and Rag’n’Bone Man in one of the show’s special episodes.
After being fired by the BBC last month due to concerns about his behavior, Channel 4 announced that Paul Mills’ previously filmed episode of Bake Off will not be broadcast.
We’ve decided not to broadcast the last episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer from the 2026 series, the one with Scott Mills, after looking at the situation carefully, a spokesperson told Digital Spy.
As a big fan of Celebrity GBBO, I was really surprised to hear about the accusations against Scott. Honestly, given how serious they are, I completely understand the decision to hold off on airing his episode right now. It’s good they’re swapping it out for another one so we still get a show this week!
After the announcement of his dismissal from the BBC, it was revealed that police investigated Mills in 2018 following allegations of historical sexual offenses involving a boy under the age of 16. However, the investigation was closed due to insufficient evidence.

In 2018, police investigated an allegation of a past sexual offense made against Mills in 2016. He fully cooperated with the investigation, and his lawyer released a statement confirming this.
According to the police, they sent a case file to prosecutors, who decided there wasn’t enough evidence to file charges.
Given that this issue stems from an allegation made almost 30 years ago, and the police closed their investigation seven years ago, I hope the public and the media will respect my decision not to discuss it further.
