Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor’s daughter has made a big move in her acting career.
22-year-old Ella Stiller has secured an off-Broadway part in New York City, as reported on Tuesday by People.
The blonde thespian has joined the cast of Before This New Year, a play by Liana Sonenclar.
In addition to Emily Carey from HBO’s House of the Dragon and Kaci Walfall from CW’s Naomi, she will be joined by three new actors: Arjun Biju, Pete Simpson, and Melanie Nicholls-King.
The director is Knud Adams who is best known for Broadway’s English.
The play centers around Alison Bennett (Walfall), a past track star from high school, who returns home during the holiday season following her initial college term. Here, she reconnects with her old teammate, Haley (Carey).

Performances begin March 19 and run through May 11 at The Duke on 42nd Street in New York City.

Apart from being the children of Ben and Christine, she is also notably connected to renowned grandparents – Jerry Stiller, who sadly passed away, and his spouse, Anne Meara.
They were a comedy team in the 1960s called Stiller and Meara.
Ella has previously starred in the 2018 limited series “Escape at Dannemora”, which was directed by her father, Adam Sandler’s popular film “Hubie Halloween” from 2020, made an unaccredited appearance in “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” in 2014, and provided voice-over work for the 2010 animated feature “Megamind”.
The family was seen at the 2024 French Open at Roland Garros in Paris in June.
The three looked thrilled as they sat in the VIP section of the arena side by side.
Ben and Christine met while she was auditioning for the 1999 thriller, Heat Vision and Jack.
He shared that his spouse tried out for the part of the alluring sheriff. Previously, she had appeared in the Brady Bunch films, and they were strongly recommending her to him. Upon entering, she gave an impressive performance, as he later disclosed.
The couple tied the knot in 2000 at a destination wedding in Hawaii.
They welcomed their daughter, Ella, in 2002, and their son, Quinlin, three years later in 2005.
In various collaborative ventures, they’ve been featured in films like “Zoolander” from 2001 and “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” which was released in 2004.
2016 saw Ben remembering that him and Taylor started their relationship while they were both recovering from past relationships.
They ended up jumping in and ‘got married pretty quickly.’
Previously, he was unattached, having emerged from a prolonged romance with actress Jeanne Tripplehorn. He shared this with Parade. Similarly, Christine had also just ended a relationship. They went on a date, and there was an immediate connection between them.
Ben and Christine split in 2017 after 17 years of marriage. But they got back together in 2022.
2023 marked the time when Taylor explained the reasons behind the reunion of her marriage with Ben amidst the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, following a separation of five years.
The actress made her comments on The Drew Barrymore Show.
Christine informed her fellow cast member from the Wedding Singer production that during the pandemic, she and her partner Ben, together with their kids Ella and 18-year-old Quinlin, presented a united front.
She shared that as a family, we’ve always remained united. When the pandemic occurred, everyone needed to find a safe place to stay. As a result, we all gathered at our home, including two teenagers, and this experience brought us closer together again.
‘We had so much time to talk, there were no other distractions… It just happened organically.’
Christine mentioned that her relationship with Ben began, progressed quickly, and in just six months they were engaged, married, and welcomed their daughter Ella into their family by the end of the following year.
We’ve always valued family greatly, but over time, Ben and I found ourselves evolving separately. When we decided to part ways, it wasn’t a decision we took lightly or wished to discuss openly.
Concerning the period when they parted ways, Christine mentioned that they had reached a point where they both pondered, “How can we resolve this? What seems best for us at this stage in our lives?” This was around three or four years ago. During their separation, each of them came to understand themselves better.
‘I think we have these growth spurts, even as adults. And we needed time to figure that out.’
In 2023 he happily confirmed the news of their reconciliation to Esquire.
He shared that after being apart, they reunited and are now content with their decision. It has turned out to be a truly wonderful experience for everyone involved, he added.
In an unexpected turn, and something that emerged from the pandemic, was what Ben shared with the publication. Additionally, he briefly discussed his personal life, focusing on his relationship with his wife.
‘I believe we value both our shared traits and our distinct qualities, and recognizing this diversity can deepen appreciation, as it prevents us from pressuring others to conform to our preferences.’
Several weeks have passed since Ella graduated from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, during which time she received encouragement from her parents.
As she reached a significant moment on Instagram, the recent college graduate – now holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree – posted pictures of herself in her cap and gown, enjoying the festivities with her loved ones.
She wrote in her post caption, ‘I don’t think I could survive an hour at the asylum where I grew up (Yes, seriously),’ accompanied by a reference to Taylor Swift’s song “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” from The Tortured Poets Department.
