Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan’s new thriller drops tense first trailer

Tomorrow’s highly anticipated movie titled “Hurry Up” with stars Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, released its initial trailer for the upcoming suspenseful drama.

The movie serves as a companion piece to The Weeknd’s sixth self-titled studio album, and it features him playing his own character on screen.

It hits US cinemas on May 16, while its accompanying album was released last week.

Under the direction of Trey Edward Shults, the film titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow ” presents a fictional representation of The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), grappling with insomnia. He finds himself drawn into a journey alongside a mysterious figure who gradually peels back the layers of his identity, delving deep into the essence of his being.

In the intriguing preview for the movie, we find The Weeknd (Tesfaye) preparing to perform on stage, but his characters portrayed by Ortega and Keoghan seem to haunt him throughout. Particularly striking is a scene where Ortega appears ready to ignite a fire.

Tesfaye wrote the film’s script alongside Shults and Reza Fahim, who worked with him on The Idol.

Before the movie’s premiere, Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, expressed: “Abel is a creative genius whose work transcends the boundaries of any singular form.

Under the collaboration with Trey, “Hurry Up Tomorrow” is set to broaden Tom’s musical realm onto the silver screen, offering an exhilarating psychological thriller that promises to redefine cinematic adventures for enthusiasts. We can’t wait to share this groundbreaking production with global audiences.

Meanwhile Ortega will next be seen in black comedy Death of a Unicorn, alongside Paul Rudd.

As an eager admirer, I find myself excitedly sharing that Ortega and Rudd portray the heartfelt roles of a father and daughter duo who unintentionally strike and lose a mythical unicorn during our journey to a tranquil weekend retreat. The captivating first trailer dropped in December, paving the way for its US premiere on March 28th.

Tomorrow’s movie premiere is scheduled for U.S. theaters on May 16, 2025. The release date for the UK has not been set just yet.
