Christie Brinkley’s Memoir Reveals Romance with Billy Joel and Inspiring Life Lessons
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Christie Brinkley is writing a memoir, she announced on Tuesday.
The entrepreneur says she wrote the book to ‘inspire readers to create the life they want.’
According to the announcement, HarperCollins is planning to release a book titled “Uptown Girl” under their imprint, HarperInfluence, this coming spring.
The 71-year-old cover girl has had quite the amazing career.
As a teenager, she kick-started her career as a model, gracing the covers of magazines, before transforming into a renowned figure in wellness and lifestyle. Notably, she also appeared in films such as “National Lampoon’s Vacation” (1983) alongside Chevy Chase.
Apart from being a well-known bikini model, she’s also recognized for her relationships with musicians Billy Joel and John Mellencamp, and she is the mother of three kids.
Uptown Girl will be written in her own words.
The book will feature over 100 photographs and pieces of Brinkley’s own artwork.
The celebrity expressed in a statement on Tuesday that they wrote ‘Uptown Girl’ with the intention of motivating readers to shape their lives as desired, something they’ve consistently aimed for – not by seeking wealth or recognition, but by embracing opportunities and discovering beauty in each moment, regardless of its size.
On April 29, 2025, the book titled “Uptown Girl” will be released for purchase. You can now pre-order it at any place where books are stocked.
The memoir will also cover the ‘betrayal’ she felt from her biological father.
She’ll mention her marriage with the musician Billy Joel, who appeared in the 1983 music video titled “Uptown Girl.
Additionally, Brinkley delved into self-help concepts, expressing an unyielding faith in the enchantment and enigma of existence. Furthermore, she emphasized the importance of resilience and personal growth.
She has already written the 2015 book Timeless Beauty.
