The excitement among the Pokémon Trading Card Game community has reached new heights with the introduction of Space-Time Smackdown, an expansion that’s packed with exceptionally potent and beneficial cards. These additions have significantly enhanced the thrill of battles and card draws within the game. Among the new additions is Infernape EX, a Pokémon that players are utilizing to construct formidable decks.

It’s clear that this deck primarily focuses on Infernape EX, but it’s worth noting that Moltres EX also significantly contributes to its power. Here’s an overview of the whole setup.

All Pokémon cards

Initially, we incorporated the full lineage of Infernape EX, which encompasses Chimchar, Monferno, and Infernape EX itself. Notably, Infernape’s unique move, Flare Blitz, deals 140 points of damage to adversaries. However, it is essential to note that while this move only demands two Energy cards of the Fire type for activation, it necessitates the removal of both energies from Infernape once executed.

We require a Pokemon capable of supplying Infernape with Fire-energy, and Moltres EX fits that role perfectly. Its Inferno Dance ability can bestow Fire energies onto benched Infernape EX cards.

Nevertheless, some might find this strategy pointless since Infernape depletes its energies upon using a move. To address this challenge, here’s a potential solution.

All Trainer cards

Initially, our Trainer cards feature a mix of common Supporter cards like Sabrina and Professor’s Research, but we also added Dawn. Dawn has a unique ability that allows players to transfer Energy from their Benched Pokémon to their Active one, thereby ensuring Infernape receives the necessary Energies.

Swiftly changing speed offers benefits since it allows players to momentarily replace their Infernape EX with a Moltres EX for executing Inferno Dance moves. Afterward, they can swap them back, reclaiming control with Infernape EX.

Additionally, we added the Giant Cape accessory for boosting a Pokemon’s health, and the Poké Ball item to quickly summon Chimchar and Moltres EX onto the battlefield.

Strong against

As a Fire-type deck, Infernape EX performs exceptionally well against Pokemon of the Grass type. Be it a Torterra or Venasaur deck, Infernape EX will rule the battlefield.

Weak against

If you’re familiar with Pokémon, you’d know that Fire-type Pokémon are vulnerable to Water-type. Keep in mind that the Infernape EX deck isn’t an exception. Be cautious when facing Water-type decks, as they will prove challenging to overcome due to their type advantage.
