Roxanne Perez is ready to take over the WWE main roster

2025’s WWE Royal Rumble left us with a lot to unpack! From Jey Uso’s unexpected triumph to Alexa Bliss’s thrilling comeback, it’s clear that WWE has some exciting plans up their sleeve. But let’s not forget about the women’s Royal Rumble, where Roxanne Perez truly shone. I can feel her dominance on the main roster just around the corner! Fans, get ready!

Instead of merely being referred to as “The Prodigy” as a catchy title, it’s evident that this nickname accurately reflects Perez’s exceptional talent in wrestling at a young age, irrespective of the promotion she’s under. Her signing with WWE in 2022 underscored her readiness for the main roster more than any other young performer at the time. Indeed, she demonstrated her capabilities by outperforming expectations and lasting longer than any woman before her in a Rumble match, which underscores the confidence WWE has in Perez as a top-tier talent.

Following the commotion, Fightful Select indicated that Perez was among the potential NXT figures earmarked for a promotion to the main roster. Sean Ross Sapp was informed that a call-up for Perez could occur sooner as opposed to later, but no specific date or timeline has been provided yet.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but marvel at the impressive two reigns of the NXT Women’s Championship by the phenomenal Candice LeRae, totaling over 385 days. She’s been a beacon of excellence, gracefully guiding the brand week after week as our women’s division flourished every Tuesday.

When she relinquished the title to Giulia, it was evident that a new era was dawning for the division. Keeping LeRae in NXT any longer would have been a disservice to this blossoming generation. Therefore, moving her to the main roster at this point feels like the perfect decision.

Regarding Perez, she seamlessly adapts to both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. She excels at portraying the sympathetic babyface character and has demonstrated her ability to switch gears as a heel. The WWE could experiment with her versatility by exploring various roles. To gauge how significantly Perez should be featured on the main roster, consider the approach taken with Bron Breakker. Similar to Breakker, who was developed at a suitable pace through the midcard, the WWE seems to have grand title aspirations for him. Instead of hastily promoting him to that level, he’s receiving the proper development and facing top-tier opponents in the process. The women’s divisions on either main roster show possess the skill and depth to replicate this strategy with Perez.

Roxanne Perez has been impressing everyone on the main roster of WWE since joining in 2022. Her impressive performances in the Royal Rumble have proven that she truly deserves the nickname “The Prodigy,” making it almost a fact.
