Alexa Demie looks worlds away from her Euphoria debut as she makes an almost unrecognisable appearance at the season three premiere

Alexa Demie looked dramatically different from her character in Euphoria when she attended the premiere of season three in Los Angeles on Tuesday, appearing almost unrecognizable.

The 35-year-old actress known for her role as Maddy on the show swapped her typical straight hair and dramatic eye makeup for a brighter, more natural appearance.

Alexa looked stunning at the event in a glamorous, striped silver and black dress that showed off her shoulders.

Oh my gosh, Maddy was EVERYTHING! Seriously, she was the best part of the show. I lived for her quick wit and those amazing comebacks – she just didn’t take any nonsense from anyone! And the drama with Nate? Ugh, it was so toxic but I literally couldn’t look away. Their whole relationship was a mess, but Maddy handled herself with so much fire. Everyone loved her, and honestly, she deserved all the praise!

Following the premiere, many people commented on social media that she looked different, with some writing things like, ‘Something’s changed, but I can’t quite say what it is.’

People are surprised by her changed appearance, with many saying she looks completely different and is almost unrecognizable. Some are even expressing disbelief that this is the same actress from the show Euphoria.

Wow, something’s changed with Alexa Demie – she looks completely different now! What happened?

The latest season of Euphoria starts on HBO Sunday, April 12th, marking a return almost four years after the end of its second season.

The new season of Euphoria begins five years after the last one, and most of the original actors are now finished with college, according to creator Sam Levinson in a recent Variety interview.

Rue, played by Zendaya, is still battling addiction and has relocated to Mexico to get away from people she owes money to for drugs.

Meanwhile, her former classmates are spread across the country.

In the third season, Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie, moves to the suburbs with Nate (Elordi), and they get married.

Nate’s ex-girlfriend, Maddy (played by Demie), now works at a Hollywood talent agency. Meanwhile, Lexi (Maude Apatow) is an assistant to a showrunner—a role portrayed by Sharon Stone—in the film and TV world.

Season three is also the last time viewers will see Eric Dane, who portrayed Elordi’s father. He sadly passed away in February at the age of 53 after fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS.

The final season of the Sam Levinson drama jumps ahead five years, showing the characters after their high school days. The series originally premiered in 2019.

At an HBO event in London earlier this month, Levinson explained the five-year time jump by saying it felt right because the characters would have likely finished college by then.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new season starts with Rue in Mexico, owing money to a character named Laurie, and desperately trying to find creative solutions to settle her debt.

Okay, so Sydney Sweeney was on Fallon last night, and she was just talking about how filming Euphoria finally finished in November! I’ve been waiting ages for any little update, and hearing her say that… it just hit different, you know? It feels so real now that it’s actually done, and we might actually get a season three someday! I seriously replay every interview she gives, and this one… this one was special.

It was really a mix of happy and sad, because I’d been working with most of the team since the very beginning – when I did the first episode around age 20.

The actress explained to Jimmy Fallon that every time she returned, it felt like coming home and reconnecting with loved ones, saying, ‘They’re like family to me.’

In an interview with Empire magazine, Sydney Sweeney expressed her deep affection for her character, Cassie, saying she feels very connected to her.

She described the character as wonderfully flawed and a bit chaotic, but ultimately motivated by love – even if it’s a complicated or bittersweet kind of love. She really enjoys playing someone so unpredictable and unrestrained.

And the blonde bombshell said that in the next chapter of the show, Cassie will get ‘crazier.’

She described working with the show’s creator and director, Sam, as a wonderfully collaborative experience. She explained that she’d often suggest pushing creative boundaries, and he’d enthusiastically agree, leading to a truly wild and unpredictable season.

Sharon Stone was revealed as a cast member for the upcoming third season, adding to a growing list of famous faces joining the show. Other recent additions include singer Rosalía, football player Marshawn Lynch, and actor Kadeem Hardison.
