The Traitors Winner Jake Brown Breaks Silence on Confrontation with Wife Over Female Colleague

Jake Brown, the victor of “The Traitors“, has recently spoken up to assure everyone that his relationship is going strong, despite earlier rumors suggesting he had arguments with his wife Shannon due to clandestine meetings with a female coworker, which occurred only two months into their marital life.

In the finale of the BBC show that aired last month, the 28-year-old project manager, alongside trustworthy partner Leanne Quigley, earned an impressive £94,600 prize by taking it home.

According to The Sun On Sunday, there was a difficult period for Jake and his spouse Shannon last November, as Jake developed a closer relationship with one of his work colleagues.

On Saturday, Jake shared via social media that his marriage with Shannon remains robust, as they were seen smiling sweetly in a heartwarming picture together.

In the aftermath of my wedding to Shannon, approximately five months later, a work gathering served as the stage for a series of events that would significantly alter our marital landscape. It was there I encountered a colleague, and what ensued was a prolonged emotional entanglement that strained our home life. During this challenging period, my confidants and I leaned on one another for comfort and support.

According to the source, they were experiencing some tough times. The individual expressed deep regret. However, the other person was displeased and upset, and directly addressed Jake about it, demanding that the issue be resolved.

‘Jake had become close to this woman and they were hanging out. They confided in each other. 

They would frequently get together, finding solace and strength in one another. However, as time passed, Shannon began to harbor doubts about the nature of their friendship.

Additionally, the article suggests that Shannon had previously communicated with Jake’s coworker and his partner, discussing her concerns, prior to their rendezvous for a cup of coffee.

Yet, it seemed the issue was settled once Jake explained to his wife they were merely friends, followed by an apology, after which he chose to end their friendship out of consideration for her feelings.

According to a representative, what matters most to Jake is his marriage with Shannon, who he’s been with for a decade, and they are incredibly content.

Since 2015, Shannon and Jake have been a couple, and they officially became husband and wife in September 2023 at the Daffodil Hotel & Spa in Grasmere.

After the champions of Traitors, Leanne and Jake, admitted they sought help from a therapist due to concealing their participation in the BBC series for several months, it followed.

To The Sunday Times, they revealed their method of maintaining the secrecy surrounding their participation in The Traitors, having initially recorded the series during the springtime.

Jake mentioned that the filming took place during the spring, which means it has been quite some time since then, making it challenging to maintain secrecy about it. He found it particularly tough.

In essence, my thoughts were filled with unease prior to the performance, as I found myself imagining others watching me, yet it’s important to note that at that time, nobody recognized me.

Initially, Jake hid the fact that he was participating in the show from his wife, Shannon, for several initial weeks. Later on, however, he chose to share this secret with her.

Leanne, who kept her military career with the British Army a secret from her teammates, admitted that she was deeply moved by how the series concluded.

Besides commending the show, Jake also appreciated the diligence of their welfare team, who consistently reached out to offer assistance during each stage of the process.

The program features two professionals in psychology, Victoria Plant who is a charted psychologist, and Tanya Taylor-Wright who is a psychotherapist. Additionally, the BBC collaborates with a company known as RT Group, previously named Remote Trauma, that specializes in health and safety matters.

He remarked: ‘The welfare squad and the production have been simply outstanding. They’ve been taking excellent care of us and responding promptly whenever we need them.’

They’re simply reaching out to ensure everything is going well with us and providing any assistance we might require.

I haven’t had any doubts at all. It’s been more like a well-coordinated mission, as if someone has been regularly monitoring the progress.

Reflecting on my recent experiences, I’ve discovered just how robust I truly am. I used to see myself as composed and unruffled, but these trials have shown me that I possess a stronger resilience than I ever imagined.

In the final stretch of the competition, it was Francesca Rowan-Plowden, Leanne, Alexander Dragonetti, Jake, and Charlotte Berman who remained as the five contenders.

However, it was the seasoned professional and team leader who successfully outwitted the traitors, lasting till the finale of the memorable third season and ultimately claiming victory.

In the most fiery roundtable yet, the Faithfuls banished the final Traitor of the series.

However, in an unexpected turn of events, the ‘Welsh’ business director, named Charlotte, kept her identity hidden as she departed from the castle.

After only four contestants remained, they pondered if perhaps another villain might emerge, as suspicions pointed notably towards Alexander, who was then eliminated next.

However, the game continued beyond that point when the last three players chose to expel someone once more in a tense, drawn-out finale round.

Initially, Frankie chose to evict Jake. Subsequently, after Frankie departed, becoming the last player to exit the castle, it was left to Leanne and Jake to celebrate their victory.
