You Won’t Believe Where Bridget Jones Lived and Loved

A tranquil idyll where she reflects on the past

Currently residing near Hampstead Heath, Bridget often visits Parliament Hill with her kids, Billy and Mabel, as a way to honor their late father, Mark Darcy (played by Colin Firth).

In my latest exploration, I had the opportunity to film educational settings at the Christ Church primary, a place that once faced unfounded allegations about a Satanic cult. Yet, its rich history and warm atmosphere made it an ideal location for capturing the essence of learning and growth.

The tree that has her stumped… until she’s rescued by her toyboy date

Atop Hampstead Heath, situated in North London, Bridget found herself trapped within a tree’s embrace. It was none other than Leo Woodall, known as Roxster, who bravely came to her rescue. In an unexpected twist, their encounter led to Leo becoming Bridget’s younger companion. Interestingly enough, during filming, Renee experienced the same predicament when her safety harness malfunctioned.

Garden party that ends in soggy disaster

On a pleasant afternoon, Bridget enjoys herself in the company of friends at Petersham Nurseries, Richmond. However, the tranquility is interrupted when Roxster leaps into a pool in an attempt to save a small Chihuahua.

He then rips off his wet white shirt in a nod to Firth’s iconic TV role as Jane Austen’s Mr Darcy.

The VERY swanky townhouse mere mortals can only dream of

Viewers were taken aback to discover that Darcy, whom Bridget married in the third film, was already deceased by the time this episode began.

However, the memory of the human rights attorney, who bears a resemblance to a younger Keir Starmer, continues to linger, even including a poignant dream scene set before a grand £10 million residence on Thurloe Place, Knightsbridge.

Re-living the time she was on the market

At age 51, Bridget resides in North London, yet the movie honors her single life dwelling situated in Borough Market.

She goes out for an evening walk with her 29-year-old companion, visiting places she used to frequent, such as The Globe Tavern, located beneath the apartment where she once lived single.

Will she make a right pig’s ear of her love life – yet again?

In a narrow street of Chelsea lies The Pig’s Ear pub, previously owned by footballer Frank Lampard, nicknamed after Cockney slang for ‘beer.’ Here, Bridget’s ex-boyfriend Daniel Cleaver (played by Hugh Grant) is spotted, having arrived in his classic Mercedes, waiting for her.

Sex And The City, Bridget-style

Bridget skillfully manages her family, tumultuous relationships, and role as a writer for Better Women, an imaginary firm situated within the actual Moor House, a distinctive, rounded city structure.

But interiors were shot at a real BBC studio.

It’s Tower Bridge-t, as our star strolls across landmark

55-year-old Zellweger, along with the entire cast, recently gathered at Tower Bridge for a photo session aimed at publicizing the upcoming romantic comedy. This event took place just last week.

The iconic structure contributes significantly to the movie, as Bridget is seen standing upon it, appearing thoughtful while the throng of people push against her.

In the 2001 film, Bridget and Daniel dined together at Shad Thames, which is situated near the Victorian-era bridge.
