Yellowstone and It Ends With Us star Brandon Sklenar lands next movie role
Actor Brandon Sklenar, who was seen in Yellowstone and It Ends With Us, has secured another part in a contemporary western film for an upcoming project.
Under the title “The Rescue”, production is set to start this summer, with Potsy Ponciroli serving as the director, as previously reported by Deadline.
John Fusco has penned the screenplay for the upcoming film titled “The Rescue“. At this point, details about the synopsis are being kept confidential. However, it is being characterized as a contemporary western, where a rodeo cowboy’s abilities are challenged beyond the arena.
Sklenar gained recognition for playing the character Spencer Dutton in the prequel series “1923,” where he shares the screen with acting legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in the role of Yellowstone.
The show delves into the ancestral lineage of the character John Dutton, tracing their struggles to preserve their territory amidst the Prohibition period and the Great Depression in 1920s Montana.
In the 2024 film “It Ends With Us,” Sklenar portrayed Atlas Corrigan, the former teenage sweetheart and future romantic interest of Blake Lively’s character, Lily Bloom.
In the meantime, the second season of “1923” will debut on Paramount+ on February 23, and Sklenar has hinted at some intriguing aspects of this eagerly awaited new chapter.
At the conclusion of the first season, viewers may recall the parting between Spencer and his spouse, Alexandra, which left his storyline uncertain.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sklenar indicated that the storyline would take on a new mood since they (the couple) are no longer together.
According to Sklenar, what I understand about part two is that there will be a change in the mood. Specifically for Spencer and the show, this shift is definite. The consequences and emotional burden have escalated significantly, leading Spencer to transform into a character version we haven’t witnessed before, carrying the weight of his pain and guilt.
1923’s entire series is currently streaming online on Paramount+, and don’t forget that Yellowstone’s fifth season will also be premiering there.
