Emily in Paris star Lily Collins welcomes baby daughter via surrogate
Actress Lily Collins, known for her role in Emily in Paris, has shared the news that she has given birth to a daughter, who came into the world with the help of a surrogate.
On Instagram, Collins announced the joyous news to her followers, revealing the special name she and her spouse, Charlie McDowell, had picked for their freshly born child.
Greetings to the heart of our universe, Tove Jane McDowell,” read the caption on a picture of their newborn daughter, who was peacefully sleeping in a woven basket near a custom-made baby blanket bearing her name, Tove.
She stated, “Our profound appreciation cannot be put into words for our amazing surrogate and all those who assisted us throughout this journey. We adore you beyond the stars and back.
In a heartwarming gesture, Ashley Park, Collins’ Emily in Paris co-star who portrays Mindy Chen, joined in the celebrations for the newly engaged couple. She expressed her joy using the term “Mom and dadddddd” accompanied by numerous love heart emojis.
He expressed his gratitude for the heartfelt messages and affection, saying, “We are absolutely thrilled and deeply appreciative.” Regarding any harsh comments concerning surrogacy and their journey towards parenthood, he wanted to clarify, “It’s perfectly fine if you’re not an expert on surrogacy. Everyone has their own unique journey.
He went on to say: “It’s fine if you don’t understand why someone might use a surrogate to have a child. It’s also okay not to know the reasons behind a surrogate’s decisions, even though you may make assumptions. Instead of spreading negativity, try to focus your energy elsewhere, particularly when it comes to a little girl who has brought so much joy into people’s lives. I’ll wrap up here because she’s just had an accident and I need to change her diaper.
