Harper Beckham Hilariously Dodges Dad David’s Kisses at Star-Studded Party!

10 years past, David Beckham defended himself against critics who disapproved of him kissing his daughter on the lips.

However, on Thursday evening, Harper Beckham, aged 13, skillfully avoided her father’s attempts to kiss her during his Hugo Boss product launch event.

Accompanied by his entire family, the 49-year-old David Beckham commemorated his Boss underwear line in a festive atmosphere at Lightroom in London.

His wife Victoria, 50, sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 19, as well as Harper were in attendance.

A fresh clip uploaded by Paris Match captures the amusing instance when the loving dad attempted to share a kiss with his daughter as they danced together.

Playfully pursing his lips, he grins and moves closer to Harper, but she swiftly retreats and evades him.

Sharing laughter and smiles, he tries again, but this time she tilts her head and presents her cheek playfully in a heartwarming instance.

In stark contrast to the past, I proudly stand firm against those who once questioned the normality of a father’s affectionate kiss on his daughter’s lips.

In 2018, 2019, and again in 2023, Harper shared a photo on Instagram of himself repeating the same activity that he had done when he was five years old.

Now after turning thirteen last July, it seems Harper is not so keen anymore.  

Initially, several people considered the images attractive and indicative of a strong connection between David and Harper. However, David faced a wave of unfavorable remarks when some people found the shared post to be distasteful.

In a Facebook Live session held in 2017, he justified his public displays of affection by stating that he often kisses all of his children on their lips.

‘I kiss all my kids on the lips,’ he said.

Brooklyn, being 18 years old, might find this situation a bit unusual, but rest assured, I’m quite fond of children and express my affection openly towards them.

‘It’s how I was brought up – and Victoria – and it’s how we are with our children.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d express it like this: “I cherish my role as a parent, nurturing, safeguarding, and guiding my little ones. To me, nothing compares to the unique joy and wonder that comes with having children – it’s simply extraordinary.

Harper wore a dress from her mother’s collection at her father’s party on Thursday. 

Cruz’s partner, Jack Apostel (who happens to be a decade his senior), donned an entire outfit by Victoria Beckham, including a white suit and red lace undergarments.

As a devoted admirer, I found myself standing alongside David’s striking doppelganger, Romeo, and his charming companion, Kim Turnbull, at the glamorous gathering of stars.

Conspicuously absent from the family group were Brooklyn Beckham, aged 25 (David and Victoria’s eldest son), and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, who is 30 years old.

At the event, Gordon Ramsay, aged 58, and his spouse Tana, who is 50, graced the occasion as they stood by their dear friend.

The family danced till the wee hours on the dance floor, playing Amy Winehouse’s Valerie, with the party extending well into the early morning at London’s Chiltern Firehouse. James Corden, aged 46, and Halle Berry, 58 years old, graced the event.
