Despite living apart, sources confirm that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith remain a couple.

Actors from “I Am Legend” (age 56) and “The Matrix” (age 53), although leading separate lives, have not fully cut off their connection, according to a source who spoke to People on Thursday.

The source commented, “Label it as you please.” In the meantime, another insider noted that the couple, who tied the knot in 1997, remain “united” but have maintained “separate living arrangements” for a long time.

In 2023 it was reported that Jada has her own house nearby to Will in Calabasas. 

According to the initial report, it’s mentioned that Smith appears somewhat disappointed with Hollywood currently. However, things might take a turn for the better if he experiences some fresh victories.

Over the past few years, the duo has been focusing on rebuilding their bond since Jada revealed in 2023 that they had been apart for a period of seven years, starting from 2016.

She stated that we’ve been working intensely side by side, and over time, a profound affection has blossomed between us. We’re now on a journey to understand how this deep connection manifests for us.

In an interview with The Times in 2023, Jada mentioned that they plan to cohabit again in the future so she can provide care for Will since he’s growing older.

The woman with two children, who openly confessed in 2020 about her affair with singer August Alsina, disclosed that she contemplated filing for divorce legally but found herself unable to follow through with it. She frankly admitted that she had made a vow to her spouse, promising him that she would never provide him with any grounds for initiating a divorce.

She mentioned that they haven’t yet decided permanently on what will happen with their marriage, indicating that they’re still in the process of trying to understand and work things out with each other.

In that particular year, she disclosed on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast that there had been multiple separations between her and Will during their marital journey.

During the year 2021, as stated in his memoir titled Will, the actor admitted that there were instances within their marriage where they were both unhappy, indicating a need for transformation.

Later on, it was disclosed that the duo managed to reconnect following the well-known incident where Will slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards.

An altercation ensued following Rock’s jibe at Pinkett Smith’s bald head, which led Will to approach the stage, strike the host, and sternly caution him about mentioning his wife’s name disrespectfully.

She shared with Extra, “I realized at that point that I would always stand by Will’s side from then on, having spent so many years believing I wouldn’t.

‘I didn’t go in there as his wife, but I was leaving as his wife,’ she added.
