Christina Haack & Tarek El Moussa’s Emotional Reunion 7 Years Post-Divorce

Christina Haack and her former spouse, Tarek El Moussa, reached a poignant resolution as they looked back on their tumultuous divorce which transpired seven years ago.

During the debut of their HGTV show “The Flip Off” on Wednesday, as reported by People, the TV hostess (age 41) who shared her experiences with former partner Josh Hall’s ‘jealousy’, spoke openly about their separation with co-host Tarek El Moussa (also 43), discussing the matter candidly.

At Newport Beach, the duo was spotted seated together at Christina’s house. They engaged in a conversation, reflecting on the demise of their relationship that occurred seven years into their marriage, which they referred to as its implosion.

In 2009, Haack and El Moussa got married, but they separated in 2016 after a dispute that led to Tarek leaving with a firearm and seeking treatment in rehab. Their divorce was concluded in 2018.

She shared with her former partner, “We’re definitely on solid ground presently.” She acknowledged, “However, it’s true that we faced numerous challenges along the way. Frankly, I don’t believe many people truly grasp the extent of those difficulties we encountered. We first crossed paths when we were both quite young.

In the year 2005, Christina and El Moussa initially met. At that time, Christina was 22 years old, while El Moussa was 24.

She passionately expressed, ‘When our lives fell apart, it wasn’t just the loss of our belongings that I felt; it was the loss of us being best friends too. Moreover, I realized I had lost the role I wanted to play as a full-time mother. This realization hit me hard and significantly affected me.’

In 2009, after exchanging their vows, the HGTV stars expanded their family to include two kids: a 14-year-old daughter named Taylor and an energetic nine-year-old son called Braydon.

Haack is additionally a mom to her son Hudson, who she co-parents with her former partner Ant Anstead. On the other hand, Tarek has another child, Tristan (aged 2), with his spouse Heather Rae El Moussa.

Later, he told Christina, ‘I get what it feels like to be somewhat bewildered. Moreover, I admit that I play a significant role, if not the sole role, in everything that’s happening.’

The star inquired whether Tarek could find it within him to forgive her, to which he replied affirmatively, expressing his agreement wholeheartedly.

She asked, “Can I count on you?”, and he responded as he moved closer to her, saying, “Absolutely, one thousand percent. I’ve made my share of mistakes too. But rest assured, there’s nothing I hold against you.

In a touching moment, Christina’s words left El Moussa noticeably moved: “You’re an amazing father,” she said with sincerity. “I’m incredibly proud of you. You’ve made tremendous strides. It’s clear to me; you’re much more calm and wise now.

During the show’s confessional segment, Tarek disclosed that he had been diagnosed with cancer and suffered a back injury. As a result, he shed approximately 60 pounds due to his heavy reliance on opioids, Vicodin, and painkillers.

He acknowledged, “I strayed from my path, and in doing so, I lost touch with who I truly am. I fell short as a husband, I fell short as a father. To put it simply, I’ve made mistakes. While I wasn’t always the person I should have been, it was still me who made those choices.

In the course of our marriage, I had instances where Christian didn’t extend the respect I deserved. He would acknowledge this fact himself.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement as follows: “Work consumed my attention to an extent where I neglected my family. Once our separation occurred, it became strikingly clear that I needed to prioritize and make a conscious effort to be more present in the lives of my children.

In the same chat, Haack shared with Tarek details about the conclusion of her partnership with Josh Hall. They got married in 2022; however, they unexpectedly parted ways in July 2024.

She stated that Hall, who could be quite moody, struggled with self-confidence regarding his relationship with El Moussa, mentioning that his jealous tendencies had often caused friction.

Christina told Tarek, ‘Your friend seems to become quite uncomfortable around jokes or laughter, even light-hearted ones like soccer banter. He often stops talking to me for a couple of days, giving me the cold shoulder.’

At first, Hall was scheduled to be part of the latest HGTV show, The Flip Off. However, he left the production after his separation.

During a recent conversation, Christina disclosed that her former partner Tarek had already anticipated the demise of her almost three-year marriage with Josh.

She clarified to the media source that she had discussed the divorce with both El Moussa and his spouse, Heather, about it.

They knew there were problems to address, specifically concerning our approach to filming with Josh, as there had been complications before.

‘So they weren’t surprised. And they were also very, very supportive,’ the reality star continued. 

Later on, Haack admitted that working on The Flip Off production served as an effective diversion during her separation period. In simpler terms, she found it incredibly helpful to keep herself occupied with the filming process.

I believe it helped reduce the stress, as the show was already quite tense for various reasons unrelated to our relationship dynamics. The rapid house-flipping was challenging since I hadn’t done it in a while, so it seemed like a beneficial diversion.

This month, a court decision required Christina to give Hall $150,000 from the proceeds of selling her $4.5 million house in Tennessee during their ongoing divorce proceedings.

Over the past weekend, Haack subtly confirmed her relationship with Christopher Larocca on Instagram, as it became known that they had been seeing each other for several months already.

During that period, she posted various pictures on her Instagram stories as she luxuriated in a trip to Paris with the entrepreneur.

Recently, the HGTV star reshared a picture of delicious drinks that were initially posted by her boyfriend on his account, signifying an ongoing development in their blossoming relationship.

During their European vacation, the pair labeled themselves on social media as they picked up their beverages at the Bvlgari Hotel, mutually acknowledging their presence there.

Haack, too, revealed a warm grin in the next photo, as she clutched another cocktail at the Dior Cafe.

Haack showed a bright smile again in the subsequent snapshot, casually holding a cocktail at the Dior Cafe.

Shortly following the disclosure made to DailyMail.com by an anonymous source, it emerged that the beautiful woman had been in a clandestine relationship with the CEO of Network Connex.

Yet, it remains uncertain when Christina initially met the Californian businessman; nonetheless, they’ve attended several events together during the last three months.

Her former partner, Hall, has likewise found happiness with a Nashville-based model who specializes in bikinis, named Stephanie Gabrys, and they are now dating.

According to an anonymous source, ‘Josh has been in a happy relationship for quite some time now. He found this special someone in Nashville, and it seems their connection was destined. Interestingly, Josh hadn’t initially intended to date, but fate had other plans for him.’

He doesn’t want to become famous as a celebrity, preferring instead to lead a more secluded existence, especially with his recent romantic involvement.

‘Josh isn’t flaunting his relationship, but it’s not hidden either; he’s simply a private person. He’s deeply content with his life and eagerly anticipates 2025 and what lies ahead. This is the happiest he’s been in quite some time.’
