Actress Joanna Page, aged 47, who starred in Gavin and Stacey, excluded an opera singer from a set of 14 photos (one image was not specified) taken during the BBC show’s filming. Remarkably, this series is still scheduled to air, despite controversy surrounding Wynne’s controversial ‘spit roast’ remark, which has led to demands for its cancellation.

53-year-old Wynne was abruptly removed from the live Strictly tour on Tuesday, following allegations of inappropriate and offensive comments regarding one of the show’s female presenters. He subsequently declared that he would be relinquishing his duties at the BBC.

In the post, Joanna specifically identified every team member except for Wynne, who was merely referenced by the program’s name in the title.

The actress was showered with affectionate messages and accolades from her admirers, who praised her performance in the series premiere and expressed their enjoyment after watching it.

On BBC’s post that Wynne re-shared to promote the show, the comment section doesn’t mirror the same congratulatory tone.

Some criticized the star for the recent harsh remarks, and questioned, “When will you become impolite or inappropriate towards her?” (Or alternatively, “When will your behavior toward her turn rude or inappropriate?”)

As a die-hard admirer, I’d say, “Hey buddy, how about we keep the spit-roast jokes to ourselves when it comes to this lady friend of ours? I mean, seriously, what on earth possesses you to think such comments are even remotely acceptable? Your behavior is simply appalling.

Others responded to the remark with comments such as: “He is truly despicable past what can be said”; “I am disheartened. I won’t be tuning in to this program anymore. I was eagerly anticipating it too”; “He indeed is”; “Nope [emoji depicting a sick face].

On Tuesday, Wynne finally spoke up regarding the allegations, stating that he had reached an agreement with the BBC to temporarily step away from his radio program and the Strictly live tour in order to focus on his personal health.

She added that she would miss Wynne in the post to her Instagram Stories.

In his time on Strictly Come Dancing, it emerged that Wynne rekindled his romance with Liz following the collapse of his 16-year marriage, which had led him to consider taking his own life.

Previously, he acknowledged reaching a low point during his bout with depression, which was triggered by the ending of his marriage to Welsh violinist Tanwen, who is also the mother of his two kids, back in 2016.

The couple initially encountered each other during a British Youth Orchestra program, where Wynne was the leading role in a performance of Robinson Crusoe.

Following the divorce, he had no choice but to depart from the familiar family home where he resided with his daughter Ismay and son Taliesin. According to a trusted source, those within the organization are yet to receive guidance from the BBC on what actions should be taken next.

Earlier today, The Sun stated that management was planning to remove Wynne from the tour following multiple cautions about his conduct. Furthermore, they mentioned that the BBC intended to issue a statement on the matter.

There are 12 dates left on the schedule with the cast due to take to the stage at 7.30pm. 

Regardless of the ongoing debates, it’s anticipated that Wynne will make a comeback to the BBC for his Welsh travel program, All At Sea, featuring the Gavin & Stacey actress Joanna Page, this coming Tuesday night.

Mark, Wynne’s brother, has made clear that he stands firmly behind the star following news of his dismissal from the Strictly Come Dancing tour.
