Flog It! Antiques Legend Dies Suddenly—Co-Stars Heartbroken

Flog It! star Michael Baggott has died after suffering a heart attack.

On Monday evening, it was confirmed through his social media posts that the antiques specialist has been in the hospital since he suffered a stroke in October.

Deeply saddened to announce that Michael passed away yesterday in the hospital due to a heart attack, which followed a stroke he suffered in October.

‘He was cherished as a dear son, brother, nephew, and uncle. His absence will be felt very deeply and profoundly. In the upcoming weeks, we’ll organize a memorial service to honor him; more information about the event will be announced here later.’

Bargain Hunt and Antiques Roadshow star Charles Hanson was among those paying tribute.

Farewell to @baggottsilver, a towering figure in the antiques world, often referred to as our “Arthur Negus.” He wasn’t shy about correcting even those who were considered experts, including myself. Michael’s passion for understanding the history behind each artifact was undeniable and deserved more screen time as a true authority on the subject.

I’m really sad to learn about this. Michael was a genuine expert and a passionate advocate for the antique world, brimming with wisdom and always eager to share it. He had a knack for storytelling and was simply an outstanding individual. It was truly a pleasure knowing him, Michael.

BBC Presenter Roo Irvine tweeted: ‘Such sad news… condolences to Michael’s family.’

Colin Young from Bargain Hunt expressed his condolences: ‘It’s truly unfortunate to learn about the passing of Michael. He brought so much joy into people’s lives, which is really all one could ask for.’
