Roseanne Barr Exposes Why Trump’s Inner Circle Snubbed Her Despite MAGA Loyalty
In more recent times, the political shift experienced by Roseanne Barr has taken numerous former supporters aback, as she transitioned from advocating for a progressive presidential run to wholeheartedly endorsing Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) agenda.
However, the 72-year-old actress and comedian unexpectedly found that her shift towards conservative views failed to win over the group she anticipated would support her most – the circle of advisors for the newly reelected president.
In a recent chat with Variety, the former Roseanne actress disclosed that some individuals connected to Trump have distanced themselves from her due to fears of her being too erratic. This is surprising given that she has developed friendships with other prominent conservative and right-wing personalities.
Despite her controversial pro-Trump rap video, which was released prior to the inauguration, she failed to gain any new supporters within the administration or among its allies.
As a devoted follower, I’ll share my perspective: In my own words, I’ve acknowledged that the Trump administration views me as unpredictable, a characterization I don’t dispute. I’m not someone who blindly adheres to party lines; I stand for myself alone.
Despite realizing that Trump’s inner circle may have reasons to avoid connecting with her, she admitted it was painful for her, especially considering the extensive effort she put into reshaping her public persona.
According to Barr, the people managing Trump’s team seem to be somewhat apprehensive towards him. As I am a boisterous humorist, I can relate to their sentiments.
‘But it really hurt my feelings,’ she added. ‘But what are you gonna do?’
Despite some political figures near the president and a known felon avoiding association with her, Barr remains dedicated to creating fresh comedy that appeals to conservative audiences.
In a recent disclosure to a publishing outlet focused on commerce, it’s been made known that she has teamed up with Allan Stephan, an accomplished writer-producer known for his work on Arli$$ and their previous collaboration on Roseanne, to develop a fresh comedy series together.
According to reports, Barr and Stephan are apparently exploring options for the series, which is expected to consist of just 4 to 6 episodes during its first season, and has been likened to British comedy shows by Variety.
The former TV star described the show as ‘a cross between The Roseanne Show and The Sopranos.’
The narrative centers around a farmer residing in a quaint Alabama town, who plays an instrumental role in combating drug cartels across the United States and countering China’s influence.
To manage financial needs, the farmer intends to explore cultivating and marketing cannabis (marijuana) and psychedelic mushrooms.
As a connoisseur of refined lifestyles, I find such an idea far-fetched and unconventional. This hypothetical series would seem to be laden with provocative notions and a plethora of explicit language.
In simpler terms, she shared that her home is shared with her daughter, son-in-law, and their six kids on a farm. Sometimes goats roam freely within their house. This scenario is inspired by my personal experience as a farmer in Hawaii. The storyline revolves around how they protect America using guns, religion (the Bible), minor crimes, and struggles with alcoholism.
As a devoted admirer of the Coen Brothers’ cinematic masterpieces like Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and No Country For Old Men, I too noticed similarities in the show’s atmosphere, albeit my summary doesn’t mirror their films closely.
If Barr manages to make a victorious return, it would be quite surprising given that she hasn’t been the lead in a TV show since her dismissal from the ABC reboot of her popular sitcom Roseanne in 2018, following controversial comments she made about former Michelle Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, who is African American. In these remarks, Barr likened Jarrett to the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood” and “Planet of the Apes.
Later on, Barr removed her tweet and expressed regret towards Jarrett, however, ABC terminated her contract for the show and proceeded with a spin-off titled “The Conners,” where her character was deceased.
As an ardent fan, I can’t help but rephrase the statement in my own words: According to Barr herself, Disney CEO Bob Iger chose to let me go because of a call I allegedly made to Jarrett and Obama. However, a source from Disney clarified to Variety that Iger never communicated with Obama, and they stated that their conversation with Jarrett took place only after the decision to terminate me had already been made.
Barr said she planned to make her show whether or not it got picked up by a network.
She declared assertively, “If Hollywood doesn’t pick it up, I’ll produce it myself. It seems odd that those in Hollywood don’t appreciate America or its television audience, as they would undoubtedly enjoy a series about working-class individuals triumphing over adversaries who oppose America.
She persisted, expressing an indifference towards the outcome, “I’m fine with whatever happens. I’d love to be generously compensated for reviving another struggling network, as I’ve done with ABC twice. However, I can’t fathom how they won’t interfere in my affairs.
‘We’ll see. If not, I’ll just go somewhere else and put it on my own website,’ she added.
In her statement, Barr asserted that Hollywood has grown detached from the American public, and she recommended they produce content supportive of Trump if they aim to remain viable.
Nevertheless, she asserted that Hollywood executives could be labeled as “ideological adherents” who may be reluctant to alter their methods.
She asserted that it astonishes her how they choose to squander funds, only to report this to the investors who seem unfazed by such losses.” This version maintains the original meaning and is written in an easy-to-understand manner.
