Quentin Tarantino’s Heartwarming Reason for Delaying His Final Film Revealed!

Quentin Tarantino flew from Israel to Utah this week to speak at Sundance Film Festival.

In a chat, the well-known movie director aged 61 opened up to film critic Elvis Mitchell, discussing his career and revealing his intentions for beginning his upcoming film project.

When Mitchell questioned the filmmaker behind “Reservoir Dogs” regarding his shift towards writing rather than directing in recent times, Tarantino signaled towards his role as a father as the reason for this change.

He stated that he has no immediate plans to start working on the project right away. After all, he’s spent the last three decades in production work. His son is about to turn five next month, and he also has a 2.5-year-old daughter.

‘When I’m in America, I’m writing. When I’m in Israel I’m an abba, which is Hebrew for father.’

Quentin Tarantino’s family consists of his son Leo and an unnamed daughter, along with his 41-year-old wife Daniella Tarantino.

According to an article by Variety, during their chat, Mitchell expressed that the concept of embarking on a journey when one is too young to fully grasp it doesn’t appeal to him.

As a lifestyle expert, I find myself desiring to postpone any film projects until my child reaches the age of six. This approach ensures that he understands the context, can actively participate, and creates a cherished memory that will endure throughout his lifetime.

And he gushed about his daughter, ‘[She] is already such a genius, she’ll just get it.’

Later on Instagram, his wife posted a part of his statement for her 55,000 followers, simply captioning it as a tribute to their familial bond: ‘Family guy.’

In another part of the conversation, the Academy Award-winning author expressed that he was currently relishing his role as a literary figure.

Although he’s not currently involved in movie production, Tarantino is keeping busy in another way.

As a committed devotee speaking directly, let me share with you that at this very moment, I’m immersed in crafting a captivating play. This creative endeavor is my immediate focus, and I eagerly anticipate bringing it to life as the next step in my journey.

Should it flop, I doubt I’d adapt it for the big screen. Yet, if it’s an unprecedented success, it could very well be my swan song as a filmmaker,” I mused.

In today’s world where movies transition from the big screen to streaming platforms, I find live plays to be the last unexplored territory. They offer a unique and captivating experience that can’t be replicated on any screen.

With great passion, the veteran artist exclaimed, “It’s a substantial challenge to stage this production, and I’m not sure I can do it. Let’s give it a try.

He pondered, “That’s indeed a genuine challenge, but creating movies? Honestly, what is a movie today? Something that plays in cinemas for a limited run of just four weeks? Fine, by the second week it’s available on television. I didn’t get into this for small rewards.

In simpler terms, the seasoned movie director referred to 2019, particularly the year when his movie Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood premiered, as “the final chapter for films.

He further expressed his discontent, stating, ‘To be honest, it was already terrible in ’97. It was equally bad in 2019, and that was the last year of films I found disappointing. In my opinion, it was a very unfair situation.’

Quentin referred to the existing movie release strategy as an ‘exercise showcasing a pretty face,’ and further stated, ‘Going to the theater? That’s not an option anymore. It’s the last unexplored territory.’
