Stephanie Rice, the newly married lady, has shared that her ideal honeymoon in Paris with her spouse Mark Lassey has unfortunately taken an unfortunate and terrible turn.

Instead of spending their final days exploring the renowned city, the pair ended up confined to their hotel room due to illness, attempting to recuperate.

As a die-hard admirer, I couldn’t help but share this tidbit: Yesterday, the 36-year-old swimming sensation I adore, unfortunately, experienced a gloomy day in the City of Lights. She took to her Instagram stories to let us know she wasn’t feeling her best amidst the Parisian landscape.

She mentioned that both Mark and herself have been quite unwell recently, forcing them to stay indoors in their hotel room as they try to regain their health.

Stephanie Rice, residing primarily in Dubai, recently got married to her partner, Mark Lassey (age 46), after a swift and passionate courtship lasting approximately ten months. The ceremony took place earlier this month in Perth.

In another part of the extended text, the Olympic athlete confessed to her audience that her sickness during the honeymoon diverted her attention towards fitness.

Over the last year, I haven’t felt as unwell as I do now, and a thoughtful invitation came at a time when I had been working tirelessly for the past half year. Unknowingly, this led me to put my health on the backburner.

‘So when we land back in Dubai, I’m [hoping] to change things up a bit.’

Today marks our last day in Paris, and I must admit, I’m quite looking forward to moving on to a new place and switching up my surroundings.

Stephanie posted an incredible shot of the Paris skyline, accompanied by the comment: ‘Last night, we witnessed a breathtakingly clear sky for the first time, and it was truly spectacular.’

After the Olympic gold medalist, who’s spent the last year in Dubai, announced her engagement to her future pastor husband, Mark Lassey, in September.

After her move to Dubai, she crossed paths with Mark who resides in Perth, not too long afterwards. Approximately seven months into their relationship, they were at The Atlantis Royal hotel in the city when Mark proposed.

Stephanie, who made her relationship with Mark official in July, posted on Instagram to announce some thrilling news, keeping her social media audience informed about the significant transformations happening in her life.

Instead of taking a mirror selfie, the athlete chose to capture herself smiling next to her loaded luggage inside an elevator, as she prepared to embark on her journey home to Australia.

As I eagerly anticipate my upcoming adventure, I’ve chosen to slip into a cozy white sweater and a roomy pair of white trousers – the perfect attire for comfort and excitement.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve just embarked on an exhilarating adventure! After wrapping up my life in Dubai and stashing my belongings away for safekeeping, I packed two suitcases brimming with anticipation and set off to Australia. My mission? To complete my Master’s degree and tie the knot – quite a whirlwind endeavor, isn’t it?!

Stephanie, newly converted to Christianity, conveyed her appreciation for the recent transformations in her life, stating that God has left an indelible mark on her journey over the past year.

‘God has done a complete 180 on my life this year and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,’ she added.

Apart from expressing her enthusiasm about the future, she also conveyed this to her partner Mark with a burst of joy, ending her message with the sentiment: ‘He truly is wonderful.’

She exchanged vows with the Aussie pastor, 46, during a vineyard ceremony in his native Perth. 

At the ceremony, Steph dazzled everyone in a strapless satin dress boasting a lengthy train that flowed gracefully behind her.

Instead of letting her dress be the main focus, she adorned it with just a delicate necklace and elegant drop earrings. Her long, dark hair cascaded freely over her shoulders.

Mark presented himself elegantly, dressed in a well-tailored tuxedo, featuring a crisp white shirt, sleek black pants, and a stylish cream dinner jacket.

The couple shared a video documenting the moment they were declared a married couple.

In the video, they gleamed with happiness, standing hand-in-hand near an open-air altar sheltered by a charming, leafy green pergola.

After walking down the aisle hand-in-hand, having just tied the knot, they were greeted by a rain of confetti. Following this, they exchanged a tender, romantic kiss.

At sunset, the couple joyfully marked their union by hosting a charming outdoor gathering, welcoming only their dearest loved ones, right within the picturesque vineyard grounds.

Later in the evening, the pair kissed while sparklers lit up the sky behind them.

Steph and Mark plan to start off their married in Dubai.

3-time Olympic gold medalist Stephanie became a member of Kingdom City Church upon her move to Dubai towards the end of 2023.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Mark serves as a pastor within the same organization located in Perth, and he’s been affiliated with the church for over a decade.

Since its founding in Perth back in 2003, Kingdom City has expanded its reach worldwide, establishing locations not only across Australia but also on various continents such as Africa, Europe, Asia, and even the Middle East.

After being introduced by a mutual friend at the beginning of 2024, they began a romantic journey that spanned over ten months, leading to their upcoming wedding in late 2024.
