Mackie, potentially facing a contest over the Captain America title with previous Marvel actor Chris Evans in the future, attempted to clear up his comments via his Instagram stories on Tuesday afternoon.

He made it plain that he feels deeply patriotic and considers it an immense privilege to emulate a legendary figure such as Captain America, as expressed in a straightforward message he posted.

People argued that Mackie was mistaken, as Captain America’s outfit and shield symbolically represent the U.S. flag.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but passionately echo: “Reintroduce Steve Rogers!” It’s hard to fathom that someone could be so misinformed as not to have seen the first movie. Captain America represents valor and wisdom, earned through his years of service. Such an uneducated perspective is truly astounding.

However, numerous fans, some referencing Captain America’s comics beyond the latest Marvel movies, echoed Mackie’s views and proposed that critical views on unquestioning patriotism have become a defining trait for contemporary portrayals of the character.

One admirer expressed that this speech was considered among Roger’s greatest of all time, as it was so powerfully delivered. In a clip from Captain America, the hero emphasized the significance of standing firm for one’s values, even when they go against the general opinion of the American public and government.

If you differ with Mackie’s viewpoint, it could be said that you may not fully grasp the essence of Captain America. In fact, Captain America might just as swiftly take up arms against him as he would for the sake of America itself.

Details about the plot of the upcoming standalone film are sparse, however, trailers suggest that Captain America will confront General Ross. This encounter takes place after the President undergoes a dramatic transformation into the colossal Red Hulk, resulting in the destruction of the White House.
