Gogglebox Star Wants a Small London Wedding After Split

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but be curious about the personal life of the beloved Gogglebox star, Daniel Lustig. Intriguingly, he’s opened up about his romantic future after parting ways with his ex-husband Stephen Webb, mere nine months ago. So, what’s next for this captivating TV personality? Back in April 2024, I took my devoted followers by surprise as I shared the news about my separation from my spouse, after six rewarding years together. The journey we embarked on as a married couple had been nothing short of extraordinary, but change sometimes brings new chapters to unfold.

Next time Daniel contemplates remarriage, he’s shared what his plans might be. This follows his grand wedding with Stephen in a luxurious French setting in the south.

In a conversation on the fifth season of “Celebrity Skin Talk,” hosted by Scott McGlynn, known for being James Corden’s stag in “Gavin & Stacey,” Daniel revealed that he has been involved in a romantic relationship.

He mentioned that he’s gone out on several dates casually, prefers traditional methods as he enjoys meeting people face-to-face, such as strolling in the park with our pets, and if he spots someone, he’ll ask if they have doggie waste bags.

As a devoted supporter, I’m sharing that I aspire to exchange vows in a quaint London registry office, with just a few cherished companions witnessing the moment, on my next special day.

He added: ‘Indeed, Stephen’s and my wedding took place in the picturesque south of France, it was truly stunning. However, if given another chance, I would prefer to have a wedding in London instead.’

In a register office surrounded by five companions, we’ll finalize the formalities. Later on, we’ll unwind together over a delightful meal at a comfortable restaurant.

Daniel’s confession has shed light on the fact that he and his ex, Stephen, are currently cohabiting, following Daniel’s disclosure of their tumultuous and heart-wrenching breakup.

As an unapologetic admirer putting my fandom aside for a moment, I’d like to share some intriguing news: on Best’s Suddenly Single podcast, Daniel recently disclosed a fascinating detail about his personal life – he and the 53-year-old Stephen are still cohabiting, despite their ongoing efforts to sell their apartment.

They mentioned that they’ve been residing under the same roof and are in the process of selling their shared apartment. Their living arrangement has been harmonious. The separation, however, unfolded gradually, with them continuing to share a bed for a period of time during this transition.

‘Then when Stephen went on Celebs Go Dating we agreed we’d sleep in separate bedrooms.

In a nutshell, we’ve discovered a method for joint collaboration, cohabitation, and shared responsibility as dog fathers. Throughout it all, the essence has been camaraderie.

From the moment our relationship began, I commented, “He’s quite distinct from me,” yet surprisingly, we found a strong connection despite our contrasting upbringings.

Regarding the separation, he commented: “It was heart-wrenching for me. To be honest, it felt like a deep emotional wound, even though I sensed that things weren’t ideal, I wasn’t expecting it to happen.

The procedure took a considerable amount of time as we had been deeply interconnected for such a prolonged period, sharing businesses and pets, being almost identical in every action we undertook.

It’s important to clarify that there were no secret or deceitful activities, and no one was involved romantically with another person besides their partner. Stephen and I were very different from each other, which initially drew us together, but ultimately, our fundamental differences became an issue in the end.

Stephen and Daniel are still on good terms, with the pair both running their hair salon together. 

When they decided to part ways, Daniel expressed: ‘With great sadness, we’ve chosen to announce that our marriage is over.’

‘I’m sure we will forever be friends.’

Stephen made his debut on the Channel 4 program called Gogglebox around ten years back, specifically in 2023, together with his former partner Chris Ashby-Steed.

When the couple split, Stephen remained on the programme with his late mother Pat.
