Doctor Who actor confirmed to be joining cast of Slow Horses
Doctor Who star Lenny Rush has joined the cast of Slow Horses.
Before the fourth season, which premiered in September, was even released, the popular Apple TV+ show had completed filming for its fifth season. Not long after the finale, it was confirmed that there would be a sixth season as well.
It is now officially announced that Rush will be part of the main cast of the BAFTA-winning series for its sixth season, although the specific character he will play remains a secret.
The verification of the news came from Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, Rush’s co-stars on the show “Am I Being Unreasonable?”, during a Q&A session for the second season of the BBC program (as reported by RadioTimes).
Regarding Rush, Cooper mentioned: “I don’t believe he’s present. Is he engaged in something more significant? Absolutely! That’s who I found.
Hizli mentioned that Gary Oldman was currently acting, to which Cooper reacted with surprise, saying, “Wow! Why aren’t we working together with Gary Oldman? Really? Is it true?
“Yeah, he’s in Slow Horses,” Hizli said.
Rush was also filmed working on the same set as Oldman in Camden, and a fan shared a video clip of them both on social media platform X.
In a natural, easy-to-read manner, we could say: The sixth season will be based on the sixth and seventh books of Mick Herron’s ‘Slough House’ novel series.
In the sixth season, the “Slow Horses” find themselves in a desperate flight as Diana Taverner involves everyone in a deadly game of reprisal and vengeance, hints a brief summary.
Last year, in season 14 of the science fiction series “Doctor Who”, Rush first appeared as the character Morris.
He expressed that it was an honor for him, who has never acted in the science fiction genre before, to be part of “Doctor Who,” making it his first science fiction television appearance.
In another part, the budding actor is set to reappear on your TV screens starting next week as the second season of the BBC’s comedic show titled “Am I Being Unreasonable?” makes its debut on February 5.
Slow Horses seasons 1-4 are streaming on Apple TV+.
