2024’s superhero flop Kraven the Hunter is now available to watch at home
In simpler terms, Kraven the Hunter‘s introduction to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe didn’t end with a triumphant finale, as it managed to gather just $61 million globally.
On the other hand, you now have an opportunity to form your own opinion about the success of the Spidey spin-off, since Sony has made the 2024 superhero film, previously criticized as a flop, available on digital platforms in the UK, after its initial US release this month.
If you’re interested, you can now purchase or lease “Kraven the Hunter” on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store, and various other digital retailers across the UK.
In the US, you can buy or rent Kraven the Hunter from Prime Video, iTunes and more.
You can also pre-order the movie on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD ahead of its release in the UK.
Sony has yet to confirm a UK release date for the physical home release.
There’s also a 4K Steelbook available to pre-order, which will be released on the same day.
In simple terms, Kraven the Hunter received unfavorable reviews from critics, currently holding a 16% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This score is slightly higher than Morbius’s and Madame Web’s ratings (both at 15% and 11%, respectively), but it falls below all three Venom films.
The opening weekend in the U.S. brought in a disappointing $11 million, marking the smallest debut for any Sony Marvel film. Furthermore, with a total global earnings of $61 million, it became the film in the series with the least successful launch.
In the movie, we saw the first appearances of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven and Fred Hechinger as The Chameleon, suggesting that these characters might confront each other in the future.
However, it’s unlikely we’ll see that play out anytime soon – if at all.
