With the arrival of eFootball 2025, we are introduced to numerous features that enhance our football gaming experience. However, what truly sets each player apart is their unique skills. Comprehending a player’s abilities is crucial when making a selection, and this eFootball 2025 Player Skills Guide aims to help you grasp the various skills available and maximize their potential in the game.

Ball Control and Dribbling Skills

Generally speaking, we employ clever footwork (dribbling) to outmaneuver defenders and reach an advantageous spot for taking a shot.

1. Sole Control

Your player gains superior handling of the ball, enabling them to perform deceptive moves like feints and swift turns with great facility.

2. Scissors Feint

With a swift maneuver, your player can execute the Scissors Feint to deceive adversaries at top speed. Simply flick the controller’s analog pad sideways to activate this move.

3. Double Touch

Enables your player to perform a quick and accurate double tap move, which can be done by tapping the joystick in the same direction the player is dribbling.

4. Flip Flap

Your player can perform the Flip Flap to outwit defenders. A similar to the Double Touch move.

5. Marseille Turn

Allows your player to execute a Marseille Turn while dribbling. To do this, either push your analog stick down or make a semi-circle motion with it.

6. Sombrero

As a dedicated gamer, I find myself effortlessly executing the ball flick maneuver in eFootball. This incredible move is possible only when my player catches the ball mid-air and swiftly taps the analog stick in the opposite direction.

7. Chop Turn

Allows your player to quickly execute the Chop Turn to evade challenges.

8. Cut Behind & Turn

Your player can execute a slick “Backstep” maneuver to evade defenders. Adjust your controller’s joystick, moving it up if you need to go backwards or down for forwards, according to your desired direction.

9. Scotch Move

Your player has the ability to perform the Scotch Move, a technique to keep control during high-pressure situations. Simply nudge the analog stick slightly away from the center to execute this move.

10. Rabona

Allows your player to execute a sleek, misdirecting Rabona maneuver for both passing and shooting – this action triggers on its own.

Passing Skills

The majority of passing abilities aren’t operated individually by players. Instead, they are built into the standard control scheme, and get automatically initiated when a player selects the pass command, based on their specific skill set.

1. Weighted Pass

Your player automatically applies backspin to his passes and through balls for improved accuracy and loft, with no need for additional controls. The player makes these decisions independently.

2. Pinpoint Crossing

Enables your player to deliver perfectly curled crosses into the box.

3. One-touch Pass

Enhances the accuracy of your players’ swift, one-tap passes, which can be advantageous during the development phases of your games.

4. Through Passing

Your player delivers more accurately through low and lofted balls to break defenses.

5. No Look Pass

Adds flair as your player misdirects opponents with deceptive passes.

6. Low Lofted Pass

Allows your player to send long, low-trajectory lofted passes.

7. Long Throw

Your player can throw the ball farther with improved accuracy.

Shooting Skills

These abilities stand out significantly and are quite significant. It’s also straightforward when someone lacks these skills.

1. First-time Shot

Enhances your player’s precision for first-time strikes.

2. Long-Range Shooting

Improves your player’s accuracy for shots taken from a distance.

3. Long-Range Curler

Improves your player’s accuracy for curled shots taken from a distance.

4. Outside Curler

Your player has the ability to execute shots or passes using the outer side of their foot, even from far distances. This skill is typically activated when they need to curl the ball from an angle that primarily involves their less dominant foot for a successful goal.

5. Chip Shot Control

Enables your player to deliver precise chip shots over goalkeepers.

6. Knuckle Shot

Your player can easily execute powerful knuckle shots, even for free kicks.

7. Dipping Shot

Allows your player to hit topspin shots that dip unpredictably.

8. Rising Shot

Your player can shoot shots that start low and rise sharply.

9. Acrobatic Finishing

Your player has the knack for scoring goals, even when the position seems unfavorable. Many players who are skilled enough to perform bicycle kicks or header dives possess this talent.

Goalkeeping Skills

The Goalkeeper skills are four, which are basic ones.

1. GK Penalty Saver

Enhances a goalkeeper’s quickness in responding during penalty kicks. It has been observed that it significantly impacts the game, with some keepers now being able to block top-corners that they previously couldn’t without this specific skill.

2. GK Low Punt

Your goalkeeper delivers long, low punt kicks with pinpoint accuracy.

3. GK High Punt

Allows your goalkeeper to send high, deep punt kicks into opposition territory.

4. GK Long Throw

Your goalkeeper can make longer and more accurate throws.

Defensive Skills

It’s generally evident that many of these abilities are typically displayed by defenders, and it’s crucial to note that all these capabilities should ideally be present in a defender. Skills such as heading and aerial prowess are often observed in taller forwards, but they are primarily viewed as defensive skills.

1. Man Marking

Your player can tightly follow and challenge specific opponents.

2. TrackBack

Allows your player to retreat towards the defense, despite previously pushing forward to put pressure on the ball handler in an aggressive manner.

3. Acrobatic Clearance

Your player clears the ball effectively, even from awkward positions.

4. Interception

Improves your player’s ability to cut off passes from the opponent.

5. Blocker

As your player improves, they become more adept at defending against shots and passes. It’s impressive to see how the game AI makes them slide automatically, even when you’re not directly controlling them.

6. Heading

Improves your player’s accuracy and power when heading the ball.

7. Aerial Superiority

Your player dominates aerial duels more effectively.

8. Sliding Tackle

Improves your player’s success rate for sliding tackles.

Other Skills

Here are abilities that aren’t typically showcased during the game, except perhaps for Heel Trick and occasionally Gamesmanship. Yet, they are crucial and can secretly enhance a player’s performance.

Beyond visible skills like Heel Trick and occasional use of Gamesmanship in the game, there are additional abilities that subtly improve a player’s overall performance.

1. Captaincy

Your player reduces fatigue for the entire team as an inspiring leader.

2. Super-Sub

As a devoted fan, I’ve noticed that my favorite player seems to shine brighter post-halftime. It appears their performance is bolstered significantly due to enhanced conditioning off-screen, but it’s not immediately obvious from the stats or the gameplay itself.

3. Fighting Spirit

Enhances your player’s ability to perform well during tense situations and prolonged periods of play, demonstrating resilience and endurance that allows him to exert pressure for extended periods in games.

4. Gamesmanship

Allows your player to win free kicks with clever positioning and diving.

5. Penalty Specialist

Your player takes more accurate and powerful penalty kicks.

6. Heel Trick

Your player can pass and shoot effectively using their heel.
