Assassin’s Creed Mirage Reportedly Getting a Saudi-Funded DLC
According to reports, Ubisoft is apparently developing a fresh expansion pack for “Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). However, the company has chosen not to confirm these rumors at this time.
The first account originated from a French financial newspaper called Les Echos, who suggested that Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot was considering investment from the questionable Public Investment Fund (PIF), led by Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This prince is known for his rule that has supported Saudi Arabia’s controversial human rights record.
A representative from Ubisoft stated this way: “We won’t provide any comments regarding the recent report,” said the spokesperson, adding, “Instead, we are fully committed to completing Assassin’s Creed Shadows and can’t wait for players to experience it on March 20th.
As a gamer, I’m excitedly speculating that our next adventure might take us back to the enchanting streets of Baghdad in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This could potentially be a strategic move to link the game with the series’ new Animus Hub and the imminent Assassin’s Creed Shadows. However, Ubisoft hasn’t made any official announcements yet, so we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed and patiently wait for more updates.
The video game titled “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is scheduled for release on 20th March. Those who pre-order will receive a 10-hour bonus expansion called “Claws of Awaji” as an added perk, along with the mission named “Thrown to the Dogs“. You can watch some sneak peeks of its stealth and combat gameplay below.
