Kelly Brook has disclosed that she’s decided about having children, following an ‘open’ confession from her grandmother.

At the age of 45, the model and actress candidly discussed a remark that left an impact on her and altered her perspective about parenthood.

During an interview with The Mirror, Kelly shared that she posed a question to her grandmother: “Do you have any regrets in your life?”. What followed surprised her greatly as her grandmother candidly replied, stating her greatest regret was choosing to have children.

She confessed, “It took me by surprise, but she did say it without a doubt! I believe she felt that raising kids consumed a significant portion of her life.

I found myself reflecting, “Wow, that’s a truly sincere and remarkable response.” It struck a chord with me, and I felt it was particularly timely. At the age of 36, I was pondering, “Could it be possible for me to have children? Perhaps it’s time to take action if so.

After contemplating, I realized, ‘It seems I’m not keen on having them,’ and learning that another person had second thoughts, as well as the possibility of not regretting childlessness, filled me with great joy regarding my decision.

Kelly contemplated the freedom her childless status afforded her, considering the various opportunities it opened up for her. Moving effortlessly between Los Angeles and the United Kingdom served as a prime illustration of this flexibility.

Following the Loose Women star’s disclosure of her past ‘tragic and heart-wrenching’ pregnancy losses, this topic emerged.

In conversation, she disclosed that she and her spouse, Jeremy Parisi, have chosen not to have children, discussing aspects of their married life.

Kelly mentioned that she reflects on their ‘wonderful life’ and the fact that they are not ‘encumbered’ by the struggles associated with attempting to conceive children.

Nevertheless, she openly discussed her past romantic experiences, sharing the emotional toll of undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) or enduring miscarriages.

She shared with The Sun on Sunday that she currently chooses not to have children, a decision that hasn’t been contemplated and shouldn’t be looked down upon.

Experience-wise, I’ve gone through pregnancies and unfortunately, miscarriages too. I can tell you firsthand that these events carry an immense emotional weight, affecting not just the individual but also their relationships. I’ve walked this path before with other partners, and let me assure you, it is a heavy burden indeed.

‘I look at the beautiful life we have and how we don’t have the burden of that.’

Kelly mentioned that although she recognizes the joy children bring her household, she’s also aware of the strain they can cause.

Although they cherish spending time with their family and taking care of their pet, traveling extensively is also a significant aspect of their lifestyle, and they do not plan to have children in the future.

At that point, Kelly acknowledged that she might not rule out becoming a mother someday, although she hadn’t had this conversation with her spouse yet.

The pair openly expressed their aspiration to be television’s latest popular duo, stating that their frequent disagreements make them seem more “ordinary” or “real.

Kelly is optimistic that the series may be extended for a larger production, since the pair plans a semi-permanent relocation to the countryside of Italy.

She expressed that they are simply an ordinary pair, avoiding the attempt to embody the ideal couple often depicted on television, striving instead for authenticity over portraying an unattainable and unrealistic dynamic.

‘We have disagreements, spend time together, and share affection – just like many other couples do. This was how viewers perceived us on Race Across the World, and it’s simply our nature.’

Kelly developed feelings for Jeremy following their direct interaction on Instagram, where they bonded over their shared passion for martial arts and physical fitness regimens.

In the initial stages of their relationship, Jeremy’s main languages were French and Italian rather than English.

The radio host stepped into the role of interpreter, acknowledging that she could still articulate Jeremy’s thoughts, even though he is now proficient in English himself.

She mentioned: ‘Often, people think I dominate conversations with Jeremy. This is due to my tendency to speak excessively, coupled with the fact that when Jeremy initially moved to the UK, he didn’t speak English at all. As a result, I ended up talking on his behalf quite frequently, and it seems I haven’t managed to break this habit.’
