Brassic not axed despite season seven confirmation

As a devoted fan, I want to clarify my understanding that despite reports suggesting otherwise, Michelle Keegan hasn’t confirmed that ‘Brassic’ has been canceled outright. Even though show producers have announced that the beloved series will not continue beyond season seven, it seems there might still be hope for more adventures with our favorite characters in the future.

On Wednesday, the actress, who is 37 years old, posted on her Instagram stories that the popular series did not get cancelled; instead, it reached a natural conclusion.

Accompanying a video featuring her and the cast, she wrote: “For clarity’s sake… Brassic hasn’t been ‘cancelled’ or ‘terminated’. Instead, it has concluded after six amazing seasons, and we are now in production of the 7th and last season.

Michelle concluded her message by expressing, “Wishing all Brassica enthusiasts a warm embrace,” accompanied by a heart symbol.

Back in 2019, a much-loved comedy-drama premiered on Sky One, and since then, it’s been a massive success, running for six seasons and preparing for a seventh.

Danny Brocklehurst, who co-created and wrote the show, stated: “Joe Gilgun and I never thought, even in our most imaginative fantasies, that Brassic would span seven seasons and attract such an devoted and affectionate audience.

It has been a pure delight crafting this unusual realm, yet as the saying goes, every wonderful thing eventually concludes. We wish to discontinue our journey when we’re still basking in the limelight.

‘Maybe they can finally give us that BAFTA.’

The mix of side-splitting humor and absurd action scenes in Brassic has earned it a spot among the country’s most beloved contemporary comedies.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my sentiments about the conclusion of the beloved series we’ve grown so fond of. This captivating band of friends has left an indelible mark on us as they navigated their unique paths to success in the tranquil suburbs of the north.

We’d like to express our gratitude towards Joe Gilgun, Danny Brocklehurst, as well as the entire cast and team – both old and new – for providing us with an unforgettable series. It has been a delight to cherish this unique blend of laughter and emotion.

David Livingstone, the founder of Calamity Films, commented: ‘In a remarkable way, a mix of captivating tales and a generous dose of authenticity, along with an incredibly gifted acting ensemble, has resulted in a devoted audience that one could only dream of.’

Moving from Joe Gilgun’s offbeat creativity to Danny Brocklehurst’s captivating scriptwriting, it’s been an exhilarating journey. This final installment is dedicated to the devoted fans.

Actor and co-producer Joseph Gilgun has been vocal about crafting a heartfelt and compassionate representation of working-class existence and camaraderie in our series.

Filming for the seventh series is currently ongoing, and Michelle Keegan, who is pregnant, has been seen hiding her expanding belly under a fashionable blue and white plaid coat in recent sightings.

In the series Brassic, we delve into the daily lives of a close-knit circle of friends residing in the imaginary town of Hawley. The story primarily revolves around Vinnie, portrayed by Joe, while Michelle takes on the role of Erin, a single parent within this group.

Since 2019, the show has been broadcasted on Sky. Interestingly, the initial four seasons were initially premiered on Netflix in August, and they turned out to be a massive hit.

Michelle announced that she and her spouse, Mark Wright (aged 38), were anticipating their first child together, due in December.

Actress Michelle from Netflix tenderly held her growing belly and penned: “The year 2025 promises to be extraordinary for us…✨

The pair is said to be in the works for a reality show, focusing on their experiences as they embark on parenthood.

According to a source, Michelle and Mark are quite the dynamic duo on television, and having a baby is a significant step for them. Several production companies are preparing proposals to find out if they would allow filming as they navigate their journey into parenthood.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but notice the immense popularity of those behind-the-scenes shows, be it on traditional networks like ITV or streaming platforms such as Prime. I believe there’s a massive crowd craving for a glimpse into the world of Michelle and Mark, eager to learn more about their lives.

The plans are still being developed, and no official discussions have taken place yet. However, the deals are nearly at a point where they will be finalized.

Michelle is currently putting maximum effort into the show “Brassic” and wrapping up her filming duties, as she prepares to go on maternity leave shortly.

According to reports, Michelle’s fellow actors are expected to carry on with their work till May, whereas Michelle needs to wrap up all her scenes within about three weeks, in anticipation of her upcoming due date.
