Nicole Young Takes a Break from Selling Sunset Amid Explosive Feud with Chrishell Stause!
In the midst of her disagreement with fellow cast member Chrishell Stause, “Selling Sunset” actress Nicole Young has temporarily halted filming for the reality show.
There’s some doubt about whether Nicole, who is 39 years old, might reappear on the program. This uncertainty arises because, according to TMZ, she took a hiatus from filming during the ninth season last year.
The decision stems from Nicole’s continued clashes with Chrishell, 43, and other cast members.
During a group dinner in November, there was a tense argument involving Nicole and several agents from the Oppenheim Group.
Ever since that mind-blowing event I’ve been hooked, I couldn’t help but reach out to the legendary Jason Oppenheim, founder of the Oppenheim Group. To my utter amazement, he suggested I take a break from my day-to-day duties at the office!
She has reportedly not filmed anything since.
Last September Chrishell said she would not return to the show if Nicole came back.
After initially making the statement, Chrishell subsequently modified it by saying that she would carry on with the reality show if an additional ‘zero’ were to be added to her payment.
In November, it was reported that Stause and Young were back and filming season nine.
Before Chrishell made her ultimatum, it became apparent that Nicole had already agreed to come back to the show.
It seems that Chrishell might have reconsidered her decision to leave the show, possibly due to the understanding that the producers may not be ready to remove Nicole.
Nicole journey on Selling Sunset has been marked by conflict shortly after her season 6 debut.
Not long after beginning her work, Nicole alleged that Chrishell had claimed credit for a property deal that she (Nicole) had already been involved with.
After several back-and-forth altercations, the situation has intensified to the point where Chrishell alleges that Nicole is using drugs.
The eighth season debuted in September, and a sneak peek featured Stause accusing Young of being a “snake” and claiming he told a “revolting lie” about her close friend Emma Hernan.
It was uncovered, over time, that the deception regarding Hernan was his involvement with another man who was already married.
A significant backlash unfolded among the team members as they received previews of the upcoming shows. Chrishell alleged that her friend Emma, aged 33, was taken aback by a ‘distasteful’ and ‘completely untrue’ statement made against her.
Astounded by the controversial moments unfolding, I, too, find myself voicing my concerns along with Chrishell and Chelsea Lazkani. We’ve openly challenged Nicole, as well as Done and Done Productions, the producers of Selling Sunset, for allegedly fabricating stories to generate interest.

In a casual conversation, Bre Tiesi inquired, “Are you married?” To which Nicole answered, “I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my husband with Emma,” and Bre replied playfully, “Well, you needn’t worry about me stealing your spouse.
On a heated series of social media posts, Chrishell expressed her intention to leave the popular show and swore off any future collaboration with Nicole. She additionally criticized the production company for failing to provide Emma with a chance to respond to the accusations against her.
She wrote: ‘Are we still giving air time to LIARS who just want air time?’
Weeks later, Emma discussed the rumor and the fallout in an interview with Vulture.
Nicole is not ill, but rather, I want to be completely honest. Contrary to the rumor, there’s no truth to it. I am aware of what she was hinting at.

This remarkable reconciliation unfolded when the blonde humbly apologized for engaging with a hurtful Instagram comment targeting Chrishell, a comment that unfortunately carried a tone of homophobia.
Chrishell and Australian musician G Flip tied the knot in May 2023.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express my admiration for Chrishell! She bravely revealed her relationship with G Flip, who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, during a Selling Sunset reunion episode. Since then, she has become an unyielding ally, championing not only their love story but also the LGBTQ+ community at large.
In the meantime, ex-star of Selling Sunset, Maya Vander, has advocated for Young and expressed that she believes Young “should be given another opportunity” after showing support for a potentially offensive comment about homosexuality.
42-year-old Maya unexpectedly appeared in the series and dropped by The Oppenheim Group’s LA headquarters, coinciding with yet another dramatic confrontation between the two ladies. Chrishell persisted in accusing Nicole of harboring homophobic views during this latest clash.
The user had expressed hope that a certain woman (whose name they couldn’t recall) wasn’t appearing on screens this season because she is a lesbian and is currently in Australia. They concluded by saying Nicole looks fantastic! To which Nicole replied, “Thank you!” with a heart emoji.
Later, Nicole maintained that her apology to Chrishell during the season seven reunion was indeed edited out, yet she firmly declared, “It most certainly WAS offered!
Regarding Nicole’s behavior as reported to DailyMail.com, Maya explained: ‘It appears to me it was simply a misunderstanding, as from what I’ve gathered, someone posted a comment on Instagram that seemed to back Nicole while not being kind to Chrishell, and Nicole inadvertently liked the comment without fully comprehending its implications.’
I believe she may not have intended to express approval of the hateful comment about Chrishell. Instead, it seems she was impulsively liking any comment that showed affection towards someone. However, I do feel she should have taken a moment to consider her actions before reacting.

Season 8 of the show was released on September 6, 2024 on Netflix.
By December 2024, it became official that the series would continue for its ninth season, with production already in progress.
