Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd’s new movie confirms UK release date

The offbeat, darkly humorous film titled “Death of a Unicorn,” starring Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd, has set its United Kingdom release date.

In the United Kingdom, Alex Scharfman’s highly anticipated film is set to grace cinema screens on the 4th of April – exactly a week following its initial release in the United States on the 28th of March.

Published by A24, the movie titled “Death of a Unicorn” revolves around the unfortunate event of a one-horned creature’s demise.

During their journey towards a weekend getaway, the pair consisting of Elliot and Ridley (portrayed by Rudd and Ortega), unfortunately struck and fatally wounded a mythical creature resembling a unicorn.

Upon hearing about the existence of a magical creature, Richard E Grant’s character, Dell Leopold (who also happens to be a billionaire), considers leveraging its healing abilities for personal gain.

However, Dell’s grand aspirations of divinity are thwarted as the discontented partner of the slain unicorn returns to seek retribution for their lost comrade, not appearing to be in favor of Dell’s selfish scheme.

Joining the three actors are Téa Leoni, Will Poulter, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani, Jessica Hynes, and Stephen Park.

Or, more informally:
Three actors plus Téa Leoni, Will Poulter, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani, Jessica Hynes, and Stephen Park make up the team.

Similar to the chilling Icelandic tale “Lamb”, “Death of a Unicorn” joins the growing list of stories where animals, real or mythical, rise up against the cruelty inflicted by mankind upon them and their environments.

It appears that “The Death of a Unicorn” is ramping up the intrigue with its mystical aspects and varying tones – given that it’s an A24 production, this is to be expected.

As a gamer, I can’t help but be taken aback by the intriguing fusion of narrative styles. This game’s soundtrack is as peculiar as its storyline, mirroring an unusual blend of influences. You’ll find a groovy rendition of ‘Good Vibrations’ by The Beach Boys, alongside chilling scores from horror legend John Carpenter, his son Cody Carpenter, and their regular partner in crime, Daniel Davies.

Death of a Unicorn will be released in US cinemas on March 28 and UK cinemas on April 4.
